Drop money. Do it right if you're gonna bother to do it all. An add a leaf will just result in a frowning add a leaf after like two months.

Leaf sprung vehicles need a few leaf replacements in their lives, especially if they're SOA. Sorry :\

Looking at leafs as far as prices go, it looks like All-pro expeditions have the best price.

I would like a great stock height replacement as I am using a longer shackle for my lift in back, my leafs aren't sagging but I would like a more solid feeling leaf pack.

All the packs I seem to find give lift.

My rear already sits like an inch taller.. so yeah.. haha

The allpros are cheaper but unless you really want a crap ton of lift, dont get em. If your lifting the front with like Eibachs or another high end 3'' lift coil over. Then go for it.

You'll also need a new brake live to go with it. And most likely 10.5'' travel shocks.

Damn more costs. Im thinking the expos are the best choice for me. I have a set of OME 882s on 5100s for the front so its gonna be 3" of lift.

Do you have yours installed yet?

Yea well the expos give more of like 4'' of lift. Basically after 3'' in the back you need longer stuff. They are great leafs tho. and 10'' travel shocks aren't too much more expensive if you get 5125s and not 5150s. Id also recommend having or planning of having some weight back there as they are pretty damn stiff without some weight in the back.

I might get away with just doing there 3" lift springs instead of the expos, cause im not wanting a really stiff ride. Just better springs and better weight carrying capacity.

allpro is hinting at a group buy in nov-dec. maybe wait till then. I went with an aal and I'm replacing it monday with expo leaves, 5150s, u-bolt flip and some other goodies. better to do it right the first time...sometimes you learn that the wrong way

i thought you said you have the old man emus?? Although thinking back i think i typed ome which could be easily confused with OEM or maybe i typed OEM by accident.

Yup that thread showed up a couple days ago. I just got mine too, but the free shipping saved me. Their 25% discount+shipping would be more than the product at retail price with free shipping

I added a set of Firestone ride rite air lifts, they bolt in place and they are great. I had a set on my Chev. with a slider camper in the bed. The Ride rite you can get at Auto Anything, but you have to call on this product, it's not on the web store. I run about 20lb and have a great ride on the back roads with no more banging on the axile and no more sag. good product and if you carry a load increase the pressure in the bags. I put the filler under the gas cap door

I do have Old man Emu springs for the front of my truck, just stock with a lift shackle in the rear.

Well the price of new springs isnt too much more than those.

I'm new at all of this. Mine are frowning too. If I were to replace the leafs and level out the front how much could I expect to spend for parts/labor (generally speaking since labor prices may vary). I'm interested in the most economical fix but making a proper mend to the issue.

parts..eh about 1000 for a basic good 3''/2.5'' lift like OME makes i think are a lil below that. If you piece one together usually a lil over a 1000. I have NO idea about labor costs.

Do you not have standard tools?? or the skills to do it yourself? its not the hardest thing in the world, but not like super easy either.

I spent ~$435 on rear springs (Wheeler Alcan 5-leaf), ~$160 on front springs (OME 881s), ~$315 on shocks (Bilstein 5100s), and another ~$150 on misc bolts, bushings and shipping. Install (since some of my original parts were fused beyond my ability to remove them) was between $300 and $400, IIRC.

I hate doing math in public, but that makes the total somewhere between $1300 and $1500, depending the exact parts you choose, and shipping & labor rates in your area.
