SAI bypass from HThewitt

Is there any way to "upgrade" a Gen1 bypass to a Gen2 so that I can finally remote the pump altogether? Tired of it rattling around in my engine bay since the turbo manifold doesn't have a provision for it lol

 

@dirtdigginjoe In essence the answer is Yes. That said, what is your Year/Model/Engine? In order to remove the Air Pumps with the Gen 1 Bypass Kit you will need the Pump Proxy Pack Kit Addon (Link Below). How every if you have multiple Air Pumps you would need Multiple Kit addons. They are $155 a piece and if you needed to get two then are nearing the cost of the Gen 2 Bypass Kit. So there are a few things to consider.

I think your product is the way I need to go. I keep getting a pending p2443 and it's only a matter of time before I get stuck in limp mode again like the last time this happened.

I have a 2013 2.7l with your Gen1 kit. Looking to remove as many components as possible! If it's just the pump proxy pack I need, that's great and I should've done that years ago lol... I just didn't think it was possible to remove all of the components at the time when I purchased mine.

 

@Alloutdrs1 We have many customer who install the Bypass Kit as a preventive measure. Yes, you are also correct that once you begin to see SAIS error codes it a good indication that the component is on it way to failure. P2443 is a "Valve Stuck Closed" error codes which typically only trips a Check Engine Light. However, if it becomes a "Valve Stuck Open" code that could put the vehicle into Limp Mode which will limit power and acceleration. I have included the compatible Bypass Kit below. @dirtdigginjoe We do have Kit Addons for the Gen 1 Bypass Kit that will allow you to remove the Air Pump (Pump Proxy Pack) and also the Air Switching Valve (Air Solenoid Pack). However, if you are are using a tuner you may want to consider the Gen 2 Bypass Kit. Instead of manipulating MAF and ECT readings it will actually emulate the SAIS system. If you were interested upgrading to the to the Gen 2 Please DM we may be able to work out a discount. That said, if you stuck with the Gen 1 then you would need both addons below.

you need to close the hose to the air valve injection before air condensing ruin the air valve which can put your truck in limp mode or get ready to get addon kit from THewitt to complete the bypass kit like I did.

I barely see it on sale or coupon for these system but definitely worth investment down the road as they are cover life time warranty as long as you own the truck.
