"Sad face", as my daughter says; that was just a phenomenally great truck. Over the course of ten years and almost 315,000 miles, it never ONCE gave me any trouble. Needless to say, I hated like hell to see it go.

But, at least I can comfort myself with my new 2014 Prerunner TRD Sport. So, see y'all on the 2nd gen side! :D

By the way, those pics are from today. She still looked badass even with all those miles!

    Thanks!!

Man, I had a bitch of a time finding another one, too. I called all over the state of Florida, and everybody said they "could get one", but no one had one in stock. Apparently, in the entire southeastern US, there were a total of EIGHT access cab 2WD Prerunners in white, and half those were spoken for.

But here's the good side: So I bought the new truck sight unseen, and then apparently the dealership couldn't get it after all. So in the end, I wound up getting one with the TRD Sport package at no extra charge! :bananadance:

    Damn,

That is a gorgeous truck, hard to believe it has 315K on the clock.

    Congrats on the new truck.

You know, I'm actually surprised no one has said "what the hell did you get rid of the old one for??" I know I sure agonized over it for a long time. A part of me still felt it was stupid to trade in a truck that looked and ran just fine.

Oh, well! Here's what's making me feel better today!

I was just about to ask how much you got for your 1st gen! Appears as if you traded it in, looking at your previous post, so I'm guessing they short-handed you?

I honestly don't know! I really wasn't sure how much it was worth under the circumstances. They gave me 3K for it, which was about all I expected with all those miles and all that baked-on lettering to remove.

It also needed a timing belt, a charcoal canister, brakes, tires, a radiator, and a bunch of dash lights, among other things. I had pretty much rode her into the ground.

What I said was, "it never once gave me any trouble".

The next owner, well ... it does have 315,000 miles. ;)

That's a lot of miles! Glad you're still with the Taco family though.
