Thanks! Yeah still have it! Our family’s heirloom I guess. It’s my turn to take care of it.

If any of you sailing addicts have any recommendations for seat manufacturers for small Boston Whalers, please give them to me. My family is restoring a Boston Whaler Classic Sport 15, and we are almost done.

    Happy Sailing,
    Paul

I saw that Don. Thank you. What do you know about the manufacturers? Have you had any experience with Tempress?

D6E89F90-7050-4B10-8AA6-25D7D1F3ED36.jpg Well, it hasn't snowed for a few days and I think I saw the sun poke through the clouds, so it must be time to start getting the boat ready to launch. Who else has the itch ? Last boat on my dock to pull out last fall.

Well I have to launch my boat before May or I’ll get stuck in line at the yard and won’t launch until mid June. So when I get a warmer weekend it’s bottom paint touch up time.

Hoisting the yanmar diesel out so it can get rebuilt. High pressure lines and returns are corroded through. oil sensor is rusted into the block. Poor thing is in rough shape. Boats going in this June.

See you out there Fran! Should do a trip to tarpaulin cove or something.

    Sounds like a fun project!

That would be a lot of fun. Would finally give me an excus to sail my boat through quicks hole. Don’t really wanna bring it through woods hole with a 2hp outboard.

Yeah those tides are nuts. I’ve seen some close calls there! Borderline treacherous.

Found this thread. I picked up (given really) a '72 Venture 17. She hasn't been sailed since 2005 after her owner became ill and passed away. Currently I'm in the process of rebuilding the swing keel and giving her a once over. Not sure if she'll make it in the water this year but I'll give it the college try. My sailing experience is limited to Catboats on Pleasant Bay Cape Cod so this will be a change.

The cover came off Country Rhodes today. Put the battery in first, so I had tunes. Then started carrying the stuff in the basement, up to the boat, a wheelbarrow at a time. Tomorrow I start to get ready for the Penetrol treatment.

My cover comes off tomorrow!! Hopefully launching May 8th. Have some finishing touches and then it heads down to the boat yard for it’s mast and then in it goes.
