Awesome. Please track how much you spend. How much did you pay for the transmission?

Love the garage. Fireplace and carpet make the work area cozy!

Good for undertaking an ambitious project as well!

I'll update everything on the post when I get home, but I paid $714 for the trans.

Hey I got to keep the atmosphere nice for when I'm pulling my hair out later when bypassing the clutch start switch.

Cool. Thanks. I'm interested to see the process on installing the engine wiring harness. Please be sure to take a lot of pictures. I was planning to just repin the existing harness. But if installing the new harness isn't too much trouble, I might go that route.

    Will do.

The engine harness separates at the connections in the picture above. Disconnect here and pull old harness off, then lay new harness in and for the most part is just pnp unless your harness has some bad connectors or something like that

Yes on the passenger side, driver side is the body harness. The Ecu is tucked up behind the glove box.

OK so, over the weekend I installed the manual version of the parking/e-brake. Let me tell you that was a PIFA.
So first you have to gain access to the cable under the center console.

Then under the dash under the heater core there are two 10mm nuts on studs, I recommend getting an extra long ratcheting wrench. There are two identical studs under the carpet right under the brake pedal remove them and toss them into the spare hardware pile will not reuse them.

Under the dash next to the brake pedal and under the body harness fuse box are these two studs that the foot pedal is mounted to. There is an additional bolt up behind the fuse box quite a ways up in the dash.(no way of getting a pic) The clutch pedal will mount to these studs.

This is the rear bracket of the manual parking brake. The plunger attaches to the end of the black lever. There are no studs on the firewall for the bracket and I just ended up using some 8mm bolts and nuts through the firewall to secure the bracket. It will take some finagling to get right, but it should sit just above and to the right of the accelerator pedal. You will have to cut a good sized square of the carpet/insulation out to find the flat perch the bracket sits on.

This is how it ended up. After two days of struggling its in and works. It is not at the factory angle or is it connected to the lever like it should.

I had to use a 6mm bolt about 40mm long and stick it through the holes on the plunger and lever, as the did not fully line up after trying to get them to for about 10 hours.:bananadead: Nothing binds and it ratchets and holds the truck like it is supposed to so I am happy with it.

Been lacking on updating, but the swap is complete.

The auto e-brake bracket on the firewall got in the way of the clutch pedal and had to be removed. Fought the spot welds and ended up turning the firewall into a cheese grader.(don't worry its still very strong)
The clutch pedal had two mounting points on the firewall and a third under the dash behind the body harness fuse box.

Pedals all mounted up just fine and feel amazing.

Time to get started. FYI the auto intermediate plate will work with r155.

Haven't taken any pictures of the complete interior yet(keep forgetting too) but I will add some.
In the mean time of not posting I did the gauge cluster led swap to white background with red needles.
