Wrong. First they paid for the fog lights because they messed up. Second i ordered CENTER hoops and received the FULL hoops which there is a big difference. And yes I've seen dozens and dozens of companies shipping pre notched hoops so all you have to do is put it over the bumper and weld it. The cut angles are going opposite of each other on a bent tube in a very specific direction. They could of saved me the trouble and just cut the proper angle on the tubing. Its not like im ordering the hoops for a separate brand bumper. This is their shit and i know for a fact they have jigs or some method of cutting it that takes them seconds because they do this daily

do you have pictures of what you have done thus far?

are you trying to use a cut off wheel the whole time or are you shaping it with a flap disc? The flap disc makes it much more simple to fine tune the angle once you get close.

Personally I’d like to hear of the dozens and dozens of companies that do that.

No jigs or templates are used. SOS cuts and fits hoops to each bumper as ordered. There is not have a way to send you hoops pre cuts.

I'll post a picture when i go over the guys garage. All the tubing is over there. And we're using every kinda tool you can imagine. Chop saw, miter saw, cut off wheel, angle grinder, even a industrial band saw that pivots and shit

Yes there is. If you look at the picture on their website, you can clearly see the hoop is sitting on a flat surface. I doubt they're hand cutting each hoop to the bumper. It be completely inconsistent. If something is sitting on a flat surface, it will be the same angle for all the hoops unless the website has multiple hoop angles tilting more forward or back, which it doesn't.

I actually sold me steel IFS and trans skid to @Gen2Tacoma and ordered some aluminum. After nearly 7 years the steel looked brand new. Looking forward to having the protection without the weight.

Then you aren't wheeling hard enough

Hey if they work for you, awesome. They'll do worse on scraping on rocks, but better on impacts. If you aren't wheeling hard enough that there's an appreciable difference, heck yeah go with aluminum.

i can see that be annoying but you are trying to modify a finished product and they cant get the bends or anything accurate without your bumper back when i thought about going full hoops eddy had told me that it might not be perfect because he dosent have my bumper there to mock it up with so i wouldnt be to hard on them tbh

3/16 plate. The mounts are reinforced/braced, and bends on sides help and act as gusset.
    But no gusset across middle.

Right i understand what you're saying but the hoop is going on a flat surface. It should be the same degree angle on every hoop. Worst case he could of used any bumper there if he needed a reference

@uploadadventure I’m interested in the full skids.

Since you are speaking for the company on this thread, are you guaranteeing that if there are fitment issues it will be taken care of on the sellers end? I don’t have tools to cut and modify anything so if it wouldn’t be made right can’t justify the risk of buying

I wonder what the sliders lead time is, and if we can do pickup on a Saturday. Otherwise I need to take a day off work.

My suggestion is that if you have any issues, email sos at sosoffroadconcepts@gmail.com

They will definitely get back to you. If not. I will reach out too. But after you email. Since the issues in the past, they have had ZERO issues with skids.
