Thanks for your input. I’ll pass it on to the team at SOS. This issue was brought up to SOS, and was attempted to be rectified. Since then the actions of both parties have not been stellar. I agree to this.

 

bumper is 2 years old so idk if the same pc guys or not. You can ask Skip It has been chipping off in placs since right after I got it

 

-4 runner. About half an inch off from being bolted the radiator bar. Was jacked all the way up by the front lip and cranked down with a long bar, the front lip could only get within 1/8" and the back towards the bend didn't budge.



My Tacoma skid had the exact same issue. I bolted it up and had a 1/2" gap at the leading edge. Until I stumbled across this thread, I never realized it was a problem with the skid plate... I just thought it was because my truck is a Prerunner. Several other companies say their skid plates won't work on Prerunners so I thought that was the issue I was facing. Now I know it was bent wrong since others had the same issue with SOS skids. I put 1/2" spacers on mine so I could at least get it bolted on but I wish it would have been correctly to begin with

I can't bring myself to pull the trigger on sos skids after reading this stuff. I love to save money but don't want to pay for fabricated skids that may need further fabrication and iffy customer service. Too many options on where to spend money to have these reoccurring issues. If i have an issue will they pay return shipping?

Yeah, I'm not too terribly concerned. Someone local just did a run last weekend to pick up their stuff.

 

If you order now/ have a recent order. And have an issue, they will take care of issues / return shipping.

 

Aka zero actions have been taken, and after many emails and attempted phone calls I have yet to talk to Eddie by voice, nor has he contacted me directly in any way or form to resolve this.


And let's get this "actions on both parties" comment straight..

On my side I've just shared what has factually happened.

On the other side was zero correction of defective parts and not resolving a well documented issue. This is all in control of only one groups hand.

Hardware? No. I need new plates. I have two skid trios that have been absolutely useless for me since may after being blown of since may, and also being told by a brand ambassador the he knew about this issue and just isn't fixing it.

FYI these aren't uncommon issue. Folks in MA and ME have had the same issues. They were rectified in one case last year.
