Salesman test drive

I work for a towing and recovery company. We specialize in heavy tows and equipment hauling but do have smaller equipment as well.

Got a State Police call at lunch time for a Chevy Silverado that had hit a deer. Pulled up in a rollback to find this 2017 Tacoma.

The Salesman had taken it out for a personal test drive and absolute smashed a deer. Think its totalled?

 

Think the salesman’s job might be totaled. But the truck just needs minor repairs.

 

should be repairable.

 

No but the deer faces a long hard recovery

Why?

I wouldn’t want to work for a company that wouldn’t allow me to test drive the products they want me to sell.

 

That had to have been a full speed impact into a big deer. I hit a small deer at ~45 mph in the same place (drivers side front) and only had mild damage to the bumper.

 

Yeah if you could put him some new guts in. I think I see some of them hanging under the green stomach contents.

 

Please do some poor bastard who's going to have to work on that thing a favor and hose those guts off of the suspension. Yuck.

 

That wouldn’t be a fun conversation with the boss..

So there it was charging straight at these orphans/ nuns walking down the sidewalk. Honestly, I don't want to use the word hero but you be the judge.

I like that the call stated the truck was a Chevy. And that the call was placed by State Police.

 

When the police call they hardly ever give correct details. It's really a nightmare trying to pick the right piece of equipment for the call.

 

That would make for a great sales pitch. How’d you get that black eye? Oh this here Toyota Tacoma saves my life when I hit a massive deer going down the road.
