So, I recently traded in my 07 BCLB sr5 for a 14 trdOffRoad. I had the dealer swap over my wheels (FJ cruiser) from the 07. Needless to say, I'm as happy as a puppy with two dicks. Anyhow, I have noticed that the newer truck seems to feel less strong as the older truck. Also, my wife also has a 13 T4R and comparatively, the newer Tacoma feels way slower. Just wonderering if anyone else notices.

It's your '14 also an access cab long bed or double cab? Was the previous one a 4x2 and the new one a 4x4? One have C rated tires and the other have E rated? Lots of factors to consider when comparing differences. As far as I know, the 4.0 didn't undergo any major changes throughout its run in the Tacoma...should be the same motor in both trucks

Well, went from a DCLB to DCSB. Same wheels and tires. Always 4wd. I realize there weren't any major changes, just wondering if the smaller differences might make a difference. Meh.
