I could have told you no 'center' or anyone in it, is gonna force anyone to do anything through anybody.

Just like you or I will not accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour unless we are willing with our own hearts.

Sorry for the derail neon, bringing in religion and all. I really value your input and views hodgey, and if we should keep religion out of this thread, I'd be happy to talk more with ya. PM or whatever. Or not, it's all good.:D

The 'A' in America should always be capitalized............;):D

    I don't think God wants to kick anyone's arse.:D

I know what it's like being in a hated group. Christianity isn't an easy path to take when you take it sincerely.
well hello there Chef pot stirrer:laugh:......LOL

I only got in this thread because I was very impressed by the way everyone has handled themselves, and I truly can respect every post.

I don't think anyone can read every post and always completely agree, but we can definately discuss it itellectually. Great job everyone.:)

Christianity is in fact turning into the new hated group. It's popular now to attack the "fundamentalist views" of Christians, or using a few ministers whose human weaknesses are made public. It's never been easy to be a Christian, mostly because He asks that we Give completely of ourselves, which seems to be overlooked in favor of other "beliefs" of the faithful. Is Christ perfect? Yes. Is the Christian Church and Christian Diaspora perfect - absolutely not. Keep in mind that Christian beliefs are exactly that: Beliefs. They don't have to be based on fact or science, and they aren't. They are based on various interpretations of His teachings as a guide to how to live one's life. Christians aren't perfect, but I think they do much more good than not. Religions form important functions in most society's as providing comfort and a way to try to understand the unexplainable in our lives - the death of a child, poverty, mental illness, drug abuse, etc. By it's very definition, beliefs will differ among virtually everyone, but each should be allowed to practice his or her own as they see fit, within the reasonable boundaries set by secular societies. With respect to same-sex marriage, let the voters decide.

People should be able to do whatever the fuck they want, as long as it doesn't harm others. It's their life so let them make decisions. The same goes for women and abortions, it's their life and their body, so let them decide what to do with it.

If life were only so easy. What you state is impossible. You and I pay for the healthcare of the uninsured motorcyclist that goes down without a helmet, the motorist thrown from his car because he wasn't wearing his seatbelt. We pay taxes to house the unemployed due to drug use...I could go on and on. There is simply no such thing as "doing whatever you want, as long as doesn't harm others". This is not a particularly valid social position, but is typically used to explain one's own behavior. Respectfully intended.

I am friends w/ a gay couple. I'll call them John & Joe. They've been together over 20 yrs. Longer than most hetero marriages. John has HIV/Aids. Joe has insurance. If they were married, John would've been on Joe's insurance a long time ago. Too late now. So, John is on disability/medicare. Who do you think is picking up that tab? Your taxes

And who pays for the increased insurance premiums? We all do...I stand by my statement and logic.....NOTHING is free. But as I stated earlier, I don't think it's an economic or "logic" issue, at least not with me, it's a belief issue. My childrens' God Parents are a male gay couple that lived their life under the "don't ask, don't tell" proviso....it worked well. They were fine people. One died of anal cancer. As much as I love them, I don't support legal marriage for gays.

    :headbang::headbang::headbang:

It'll fuck up the generations to come like no tomorrow. They always want more rights, to marry, to adopt, to God knows what...
In the mean time, while ******s get their sweet rights from a joke of a government, we as regular people loose the rights that we have....

    1. If in this great country we live in, you have the right to be a *** or a dyke, then i should have the right not to like and agree with you for it. Why are you not obligated to be normal, but i'm obligated to accept you even if i don't like it...

    2. Don't forget that child molesters are actually fizically attracted to 4, 5, 6 year olds. They don't do it to be criminals, they do it because they were born with screw loose in their head that makes them actually attracted and sexually aroused to children todlers and children.....Should we give them some rights????

    3. Why is it that if i beat up a guy or a woman for that matter, is called assault, but if i beat up a *** it is gay bashing??? God's rules were not good enough for ****, neighter is Lincoln's Constitusion and laws of this great country, but we as people have no problem lowering our beliefs and standards to accomodate these queers...

    4. Doesn't anybody find it ironic that in the Great United States of America some shmuck like that Perez ****** has the right to speak his mind and ask an inapropriate question in a contest that he should have never been allowed into (what the fuck is he in the same building with the most beautiful girls in the world for...?) yet when Miss California uses her rights as an American to speak her mind freely she gets attaked by this *** who calls her a "****" (...oooo but don't call him a cock sucking ball licking sick fucking ******) she's doing interviews all over the media, about to be stripped of her crown, etc and everybody is siding with this circus freak and expects her to appoligize for her own beliefs.

All i'm saying is this. You want to fuck your own gender or an animal or a dead person or a jacuzzi outlet like that freak on dumbest criminals, be my guest, you live in a free country. But be prepared for people to treat you like the freak you are, because guess what...we live in a free country too.

....as for this thread, no same sex marriage in my book. Make the regular ones last longer and be better first. (it's kinda' going backwards on that). Some of you have kids that are 10, 11, 12...are you not sick of the fact that your kid goes to school and one of his classmates fucks the teacher, the other one has a gun, one is queer and another has two dads....

What does anal cancer have to do with homosexuality or your seemed argument that homosexuals put a strain on your taxes. Farrah Fawcett has anal cancer and I'm pretty sure she is straight.

HIV/Aids may have spread through the homosexual community, it is NOT a homosexual disease. It spread through the gay community because it is more communicable anally than vaginally.

If, and I have been wrong in reading some of these posts before, you are trying to say that homosexual marriage would put any more of a strain on your taxes than unwanted children or drug use, I do not see the connection.

Before anybody gives me any shit about my statements it is all IMO. Sadly i dont make the rules...i wish.
It is IMO that any man on the face of this planet who doesn't like pussy and tits, should be locked in a mental institution for life, tied to a pole and have women rub their pussys in their faces 24/7 until they aquire a taste for it like every normal MAN on this earth.

Nope, that's not the point I was making at all. My friend factually died from anal cancer, that's all I said. I meant to make no implication trying it to AIDS - anal cancer can be caused by things other than AIDS, such as other viruses, etc. AIDS can be gotten by anyone. I have absolutley no issue with insurance paying for AIDS, in fact I endorse it.......but that does NOT mean I also agree with same sex marriage. They are different issues.

Take the fact that he died from anal cancer out of my prior post and it will make more sense. Sorry for the confusion.

I actually agree with you, but I don't hate homosexuals. Most homosexuals I have known have been fine people, and a few have been "pretty fucked up in the head". I just don't think they should be married!
