I do not see how you can equate necrophelia, pedolphilia or beastiality with homosexuality. We are talking about a loving, relationship between 2 consenting adults. I'm not sure where you are coming from with the rest of your comparison.

 

I'll state it one more time, then I'll leave it alone. I am NOT against equal rights for gays. I AM against CALLING IT MARRIAGE. Let's give gays equal rights as "married" people have, and call it a "Same-Sex Union" (or something similar). If this isn't enough, then demanding that it be called Marriage is simply a subversive and pernicious attempt to "force" one to accept the legality AND the idea/belief of homosexuality and their "consummation" as if it was the same as the relationship I have with my wife. I can't be more clear.

 

Can you explain how you got exclusive rights to the word "marriage"? Maybe they should have to change the term "b*tt f*ck so no one will confuse that with what you do in the privacy of your bedroom.

Homosexuality in it's definition is a sexual preference such as the others i mentioned. The "loving relationship between 2 consenting adults" is what you mention to steer away as if the sexual orientation ,has nothing to do with it. The "loving relationship between two consenting adults" could be anything. Mother-daughter, father-son, brother-sister, etc, etc. But throw in sexuality in those relationships and you got problems such as pedophilia, homosexuality, etc.

We wouldn't talk about marriage period if it didn't start with fizical attraction first. Regualar or gay. It's not that you don't see my point, i think you just choose to ignore it. And that's fine by me, but with the "loving relationship" thing you're not exactly helping your case:a dude to be fizicaly and sexualy aroused by another dude and wanting to suck eachother's cocks is sick enough as it is (espacialy with so much pussy out there averaging 5 to 1 or so). Throw in loving and caring and romance and flowers and you got a whoooole new kind looney that's not making things any better.

Don't get me wrong. I think that two guys having sex is gross, but I also think that sex with a fat girl is gross. That doesn't mean that my opinion should be forced upon those of differing views.

I do see your point and I am not choosing to ignore it. I just do not see the parallels. Your point of mentioning incest is valid in the respect that I believe it is wrong. However, there were, and probably still are, societies in the world where it is not considered as such. The genetic implications of siring a child with one closely related are well documented and that is one of the largest reasons that society has deemed incest unacceptable.

 

I don't know if you're trying to tell me that somehow incest is.....whatever i don't know how to answer to that, i'd rather leave it alone.

I'll tell you this though. The very president of the Greatest Nation in the World commited adultery and then got up on the stand in front of a Nation full of a new generation that we are having a really hard time raising as it is, put his hand on the Almighty Bible and swore his way into a pack of lies. What happened after that. "Ooooo it's ok, it doesn't affect me personally.....ooo i don't give a shit..." And things went on.
Same here now..."well if it doesn't effect me directly" so on and so forth. Everithing effects everybody. Directly or indirectly. Did you ever flip houses and commit fraud? Did your house price drop just like anybody's anyway? Were you always in good stand with your credit cards? Did your credit cards get cut in half and you got twice the interest anyway? Did you ever get in a major wreck? Does that make you imune to freeway speeding cameras?

Whatever happened to American Pride. whatever happened to "Play by the rules or get the fuck out". It seems like latley everybody's just pissing on this country wichever way they want under the pretext that "Let everybody d what they want..." Sad.

Basically, I'd like to understand how a relationship between same sex couples is fundamentally different that of heterosexual couples.. I see two people who enjoy/love each other and want to be together...

Isn't the argument of NOT calling it marriage, but calling it a Civil Union the same stuff as "Separate But Equal"? Why should we prevent gay people from getting recognized as married? Who does it hurt? Why is it so bad for consenting adults who love each other to be able to get the same recognition that other consenting adults do? I guess I just don't get that..

I've heard people argue in the past that two people of the same sex can't have children and that's why same sex relationships are not equivalent to heterosexual relationships, but what about a man and a woman who are sterile..? Should they not be able to get married? You know..?
