Okay so I have a 2nd get Taco PreRunner Sr5, and I was wondering if the suspension height was the same as the TRD Sport and OR? Because theres a seller on the forums selling his Bilstein Shocks and OEM springs, and I was wondering if these shocks will give me a little lift?

Shocks don't lift. They control springs.

For the ones about to jump in and say 'yes they do, I have 5100's and lift', it wasn't the shock. It was the optional spring perch position on the shock body, and the resulting preloading of your spring.

Oh okay I see thanks! So just a stiffer ride? Is there a difference from the bilstein shocks and oem shocks?

I would save some money and really upgrade. King, Icon, Fox bolt ons. Or better Bilsteins. You won't see a big improvement. My SR5 prerunner shocks rode nice except the excessive body roll and ocassional bounciness.

So you have a PreRUnner sr5 4 Cylinder also? Im trying to figure out the specs of the Taco, cause i see some Tacos that are either PreRunner or Sr5 that are low, but mine is a Prerunner and sr5 but it has the same height as the TRD Sport and OR! So I'm not sure what the specs are on my suspension!

Prerunner 6cyl. Yes, 6 lug, same height as 4x4.

Prerunner just means it shares the same suspension as the 4x4s, OP.

You're seeing lower trucks, those are called 5 lugs (5 lug hubs instead of the 6 lug hubs found on Prerunner and 4x4 trucks). They're completely different suspension-wise.

SR5 is a trim package and can be had on any model truck, 5 lug or 6 lug, Prerunner or 4x4.

Another thing to remember is that the TRDs come with larger tires than the SR5s. My TRD OR is a good 2 inches higher on 265/75 16s then my coworkers pre runner with 245/75 16s

265/75 and 245/75 are only an inch different from each other.

Also OEM tire sizes are 245/75/16 and 265/70/16, not 75.

Lastly, 265/70/16 and 245/75/16 aren't even 1/4" different in height.

How is that possible when there is only an 1-1/8" difference in diameter between those two sizes? That would mean you are only 9/16" higher due to the tire.
