About a month ago I bought my first Tacoma (09 4dr SR5). From jumpstreet I had a vibe at 20 mph, anytime passing through 20 mph or maintaining steady speedat 20 mph. I thouhgt I would drive it a while and see if it would get any better. IT DID NOT. Also, when slowing for speed bumps and such when I start to accelarate it sometimes seems to slip or down shift causing it to jerk. It seems the vibe is (As they put it "THE NORM" but what about the slip or shifting ?

Err...It's an 09- Take it to the dealer and show them. They'll fix it or tell you it's okay.

Welcome to the board- What does the Navy have you doing in Pensacola.

I have the same vibe. I am chasing another vibration above 50mph. Well I didn't really notice the vibe at 20 until they put the TSB springs in to try and solve what they thought was an axel wrap issue. As soon as they did that, the extra inch of lift in the rear created enough driveline angle to make the vibe at 20 horrible. They just swapped the springs back to the original and the vibe is much better, I drove another 09 off of the lot and it did the same thing. I am starting to think that one is normal. If you put 300lbs in the bed, it should completly disapear.

you shouldnt have to put 300 lbs in the bed to make it ride normal. That is insane...it is brand new. Could this be a tire issue?

Its a driveline resonance between 15 and 30mph. It definitly is not tires. It is a carryover from the rear transmition mount TSB. Supposedly, the TSB never completely fixed it. It honestly is barely noticiable in my truck with the stock springs, same with th truck I drove off of the lot. When they put the TSB springs in though, it was god awful!!! Either way, I agree that having to put 300lbs of wieght in the back is BS but it will help him diagnose the issue.

Mine does the same thing. I notice it most when slowing down and at about 15-20 mph. I test drove another truck on the lot and it did the same thing. Must be normal?
