Yeah she has an iphone. But my other friends with iphones can text me still. Just one person I cant recieve texts from. And my old iphone i had before the note has already been restored to the original condition and sold.

How do you use the phone while its charging? Its plugged in right now and when i press any button it shows a picture of a battery meaning its charging
Edit: Nevermind figured out the charging thing. Lol I didnt realise it wasnt turned on :(

I have the 1st Gen Note and would not have anything but a Note II. I would have to say the best phone I have ever had.

Not sure what buttons are on it since I've never played with one but on a Galaxy Nexus you hold the power and volume down buttons.

Yup I got one and I'm in love.

Multi view is great once its modded and all apps work on it.
    The s-pen is fantastic.
    It's got a huge battery.
I got mine over clocked to 1.8ghz, new kernel, ROM, lots of tweaks and a custom user interface. It's super fast.
I get about 21-26 hours of normal use, 14-18 hours of heavy use and about 6 stright hours of game play at an OC of 1800ghz.

    Get one.

On a note 2 (if motion is turned on) swipe your palm from one side of the screen to the other.

You can also use the s-pen. Push the button on the pen and hold it, drag around what you want to take a screen shot and then let go of the button. It will take a screen shot of whatever shape you drew.

I've got the iPhone 4 and the wife just upgraded to the 5... I wasn't all that impressed. Been toying with the idea of switching to the note 2.

Wouldnt rooting slow the phone down like jail breaking an iphone?

nope.. Rooting gives you access to the root files, that is all.

In a term of windows, it would unlock c:\windows. (c:\windows isn't unlocked normally just using it as a reference).

So if you gain root access to the phone, you can do whatever you like. In my case, make the processor run from 1.6ghz to 1.8ghz..

Actually in a lot of cases it's the opposite. Rooting itself doesn't affect the speed of the phone. Rooting refers to gaining read/write access to system files, which usually requires unlocking the bootloader. With that, you can tweak your phone to overclock, underclock, undervolt, remove bloat, flash new ROMs and much more. Most people go for AOSP ROMs or other ROMs that have been stripped down, making the phone feel much faster.

I'm running a HTC Rezound with a stripped down ROM, underclocked and undervolted. Phone still feels snappy, and battery life is great.

    I just ordered a Galaxy Note 2 from AT&T. Can't wait.

My current phone is the Motorola Atrix (ver 1). The digitizer is not working correctly. It's my second Atrix. On the first one, the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth went bad. I have pretty much all the accessories as well (entertainment dock, standard dock, two car docks, bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and the laptop dock). Other than the two big problems, I loved the phone, especially for traveling (use the phone on the plane with the lapdock and it's still fully charged at the end of the flight). The only downside was it was not LTE compatible (it was HSPA+). I thought about the new Atrix HD, but they got rid of the lapdock support and the memory is half than the original.

That thing must be a huge beast with that case on it.
