It makes me sad but no lie after I blew the drive shaft 2 years ago doing 80mph I’ve been nervous driving the truck out of town. Every new noise spikes my blood pressure and I spend a shit ton to find and fix baby issues. I’m positive nothing is wrong with her just can’t shake the feeling.

I can absolutely understand that. You definitely don't want anything to happen with the family in there! Subies are nice, I work with a guy that has owned a bunch of them. Only reason he didn't keep them is he got a travel trailer and needed something to tow with. Hope the taco goes to a good home! Someone will get a nice truck

I missed out on a color matched one like that for my truck in Fort Worth. Didn’t have the money at the time.

I can keep an eye out for ya if you'd like. I tend to stumble upon good deals on craigslist every once in a while. I have a softopper on my truck right now and I dig it, but I always like the clean look of those leers with solid windows.. If I found one for a good deal, it'd be hard to pass up!

    All in due time...
Hey SA members, I was lurking on this thread yesterday so I figured I would say a quick hello. I'm a student at Goodfellow and I've been here since April, but I should be finished this month if everything goes according to plan. I've been missing my truck lately, so I got on TW and was stoked to see you guys have a group out here, even if there are only a few members.

@DogandTACO - I see your truck on base all the time and it always catches my eye. I was bummed to see it had the for sale sign on it lately, but I'm glad Greasetrap has now found a new home. I always wondered who drove it and if they were on TW. Now I know.

@Mitch76 - I drove by your dad's place a few weeks ago and saw a sweet little tear drop trailer on the lot that I would love to have one day, but definitely not in the plans at the moment.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello from a fellow TW member who is just passing through. I doubt I will ever have the opportunity to meet any of you guys during my remaining time here, but perhaps our paths will cross somewhere down the line.

    4WD Conversion is complete.

Thanks @Mitch76 for recommending C&H. They were skeptical at first of some college kid asking them to pull apart a functioning transmission. But they proved to be the best shop in town once I showed them I knew what I was doing.

Hey guys! I don't know if I've introduced myself yet .I'm Jeff. I'm currently on Goodfellow AFB for tech school. And will be out here until the middle of April. Here is a shot my truck. Nothing special, just an 06 DCLB Prerunner Sport. Also, if anyone is interested, I'd love to trade my current taillights for a set of stock 07-15 LED ones. I hope to meet some of y'all while I'm out here!

Would anyone be interested in trading?

BFG KO2 275/65/18 tires. Less than 6 months old. Tires still have manufacturer tabs on the treads. E Rated 10 ply, and ride smooth. Balance very easily too. Very little road noise. Looking to go with a slightly larger tire which is why I'm selling.

Wheels are 18x10 -24 Moto Metal MO970, 6x5.5. Some curb rash, which is why I'm willing to lose a little.

Looking for 17s primarily, even some stocks (TRD Pro, 4Runner Trail edition). What ya got?

Located in San Angelo, and must meet at Discount Tire.

    Thank you!

The rare 1st gen 4Runner spotting here in Angelo. Someone that works at the local dealer has a far nicer one in white.

Damn if I had bought the 5 speed stripped down 96 Taco in Austin this weekend I would’ve taken some of this off your hands. My search for a 5 speed project truck continues.
