Thanks! Yea, we both were. It's been a crazy summer so it was really nice to get away from EVERYTHING.

It was, nothing but the sounds of the ocean and the wildlife. Only saw three or four other vehicles come past the whole time. We went down the national seashore about 35 miles.

    Moo...

Sounds relaxing. Makes me wish I had a tin roof and a porch with a hammock.

Yes, rain was way past due. We got some heavy stuff for a short time, and then it rained steady for hours after that. So, I'm happy with that. Plus I did some watering today so it should get a really good soaking out of it all.

I spent the last couple of days getting tar off my truck. I guess with all the new road construction around here I ran through some fresh stuff. It literally looked like someone tried to do a spray in bedliner on my passenger side. In that typical wheel sling pattern. The rockers between the wheel wells was pretty solid black textured crap.. and worse on the bottom of the flares. Hell, I even had a lot on my pass mirror. Most of it is off now, but I have a little more to get off. What a pain in the ass. Halfway wish I could send a bill to texdot for expenses and labor. Damn goo gone is 10+ a bottle and I've used a bottle and half and still have some left to get off. At least it's coming off though.

Nice, you went all the way down to where park rd 22 stops, then down the beach? I have only been about 5 miles past the point where it states 4x4 only, I can imagine there is little to no one going by down that far.

I know exactly what you mean about billing TxDoT. That stuff is such a pain to get off and it sounds like you got a whole helluva lot of it. That really sucks.

Yep! That's where we usually go. The National Park typically has less people and when it gets soft down there it can get pretty sloppy. That does deter a lot of people and we both like that. And it's just fun to drive in :D

Ahhhhh ok. I got all excited thinking you were in Okinawa.

Oh well, you guys have a great time and get some cool pics! I'll Microsoft paint a black rectangle in later and call it my truck :D
