Hey fellas, wanted some input on something. I have my dads Tacoma, and I was planning on using it as a daily for school instead of using my vehicle. It seems like I may be spending more on it and gas than I need to, and my dad was a very practical person. So, "IF" I need to sell it, what would be a good asking price?

It's a 2002 TRD Prerunner with a rear locker. Just installed 5100s on all 4 corners, new water pump, timing belt, drive belts, lower ball joints and spark plugs and air filter, and new headlight housings installed. 5100's are set at 2 inches up front and there is a 1 inch block in the rear. I do not have pictures of how it sits now, as it is still at a friends house and he is finishing up the ball joints this weekend for me. I have the carrier bearing, but it is not installed. AC blows cold, engine runs strong, no dash lights on. Tires are in decent shape and transmission shifts smooth. It has a little under 220k miles, I want to say about 217k. It also has an aftermarket pop up sun roof installed, it was like that when my dad bought it 6 years ago. The rack and pinion has a small leak on it, but that's about it.

This is strictly "IF" I need to sell to be able to fund the rest of my schooling with driving back and forth to San Antonio for the next year and a half. I would PREFER to keep it, but if it continues to be impractical, selling may be a bigger option.

Picture is prior to all upgrades listed.

    $1 BOB!

    kidding.

    :p

'Tis a shitstorm. With some dogs, which made at least one thread much more pleasant thanks to @Kolunatic ... and then some pooping dogs thanks to somebody (looking at you @Kolunatic ).

Basically, they've been taking money for orders they can't complete. The number varies between 450 and 600 currently open orders. Speculation says Satin and Tyler are splitting up and they're looking for someone to buy out Satin. They marked everything out of stock on their website and haven't been responding to calls or emails. The last word from them was from last week basically saying "Houston, we have a problem" and that they're trying to "right the ship" then they went dark. The whole situation sucks a big one. I was really looking forward to that dual swing-out, too.

If I don't see something promising and definite from them by Sunday, I will be (sadly) disputing the charges Monday morning.

    :(

I'd rather have the bumper than my money back, but I'm not willing to throw $1600 down the drain.

Time to make your own swing out since you have the bumper already.

I was doing a lot of zooming-in on the CAD drawings the other day but I kind of feel like any attempt I make will be like painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa.

I think you could do it without much effort, just need to pick peoples ideas and feed off of that. I would ask @Bigdaddy4760, and @RedBeard1

I'll hold out a bit longer, USAA will take care of it one way or the other.

If they do right the ship, I will be very happy to give them more money and continue to support them.
