I don't plan on riding the wheels off it so I'm pretty sure it'll be fine to slip in a few extra hours between oil changes. KTM is proud of their race-ready bikes and their maintenance schedule is intended to keep the bike always ready to race.

 

I've never had much interest in street bikes, but I rode dirt bikes as a kid/teen in the early and mid 80's. We have one bike these days, small enough for my daughters and still big enough to fit me well enough. We just putter around our place, but my cousins boy does own a MX track that I need to get out to and air it out a bit. If my projects would just get caught up maybe I can find my way out there.

 

125?

I learned on a 4-stroke Honda 125 when I was a kid. I'd still ride that bike if I still had it. A lot of fun on tight trails. Switched over to a 2-stroke Kawasaki KX250 later. The 250 was a blast to jump at the track and stupid fast in the power band. It'd stand right up as soon as it would get on the pipe if you grabbed too much throttle.

 

It's actually just an 85, but it's a big wheel version, longer swing arm, different tooth counts, and bigger tires/wheels. It's probably closer to a 125 in size when you compare it to an older 125. Noticeable bigger than the older 80's for sure. I weight about 160 range and so I can still fit it pretty damn good. Not to mention it will rip with me on it. And, it's so light I can throw it around when riding which is even better. It'll put a smile on your face for sure.

Should go fairly easy, I have mocked up a wind deflector for mine, just need to get mounts made for it now so I can really see how it fits but at first placement it is looking fairly well.

 

Was wondering about the last time at lunch you talked about that, been waiting on that deflector

 

Going to try and start mowing this evening and assess fence damage yay

 

Its basically done, now like I stated just need to create a way to attach it. Got an idea but need to try putting it together,,,,,time is what I'm lacking. Maybe this weekend as both vehicles need an oil change and all the stuff has arrived so I will be working on both of them.

 

I need to try and mow a little bit tomorrow before it really rains if it holds off long enough, if not I will add it to my list of to do's.
