Helped a friend put my old rear blocks on his Tacoma. added some leaf spring clamps to mine to help the axle wrap. Put some running boards on my parents Tacoma. Still trying to figure the noise I'm hearing/feeling on mine it's got me stumped

 

Mine is squeaking already . I'm sure it's the AAL, Need to fix that

 

Sprayed mine with silicone spray. Quiet now

 

Just had my Catalytic Converter Stolen outta my tacoma today while i was at work. Anyone have any pics of a 98 3.4 of theirs? Ordered a replacement but i wanna see how it goes before hand. Pipe lookes to be cut on mine. Had to limp her home on the access road today. Work at the Target at the rim and talked to a SAPd officer and a Rim mall cop. Been happening alot apparently. The tape showed a male and female in a dark blue sedan so keep an eye out. Little did they know my truck rolled over to 260,000 yesterday and its a stock converter... apparently someone didnt wanna pay 200 for a new one... Part arives at my nappa on friday.

 

You should fab and weld on some body armor to protect that kinda thing.

 

just thinkin bout that actually, can fab some outta 1/8th diamond plate left from the bumper. with maybe a guy shootin the finger? haha jk but ya im planning that after i get my parts. Just annoying to get in and start and know shit aint right... little bit of a sound difference with the 3.4l with and without the converter. Apparently these assholes didnt see my RED JACKET FIREARMS sticker on the windshield..... no body likes a angry country guy lol

 

Hate to hear that. I had a flanges type on my old '97.

 

Ill put some picks up i took. Apparently this is a problem with the titanium and platinum in these things?? Gonna build one hell of a skid plate now...

 

I rammed a broomstick thru mine for awhile,it was empty.

stock, 265/65/17. I could not grab traction at all. Times were the same (14.3-14.5) but my trapping speed was in the 97-98 mph range instead of 95. If I could grab traction I might be touching 13's. maybe.

Need help on what would be best, never been in this situation before. Truck will be retired to the ranch once i get the new(er) one for college so i am trying to to spend much so i can afford a newer one... suggestions

 

To pass inspection they just "look" for the cat unless you inspect it where they actually smog test it. They do selll cats by themselves then you could just have it welded in.

Im talking with my dad right now about how we are gonna be dealing with the taco right now. like i said the thieves were kind enought to cut it so i cant just bolt on the oem one...
