After talking to my dad the idea of buying a used tacoma for college is KO-ed and will be taking advantage of the lease program offered to toyota plant empoyees. We will be leasing a tacoma 4x4 for 4 years and when the lease is up hopefully ill be in the position to buy the truck. Curious on which to get, wanting a Silver or magnetic grey 4x4 DCSB. Looking at the TX pro and TRD OR models. The truck will remain stock (unfortionitly) and i know the mod bug will kill me so some mods that arent permanent like bumpers and lifts ect ill take imput. Leaning towards the tx pro if its got bgf all terrains haha i would love to take my rig to college but after turning to 260,000 miles today im affraid something will break and with a new lease truck i can drive it back and forth as much as i want. Just looking for some mods i can do to her, thinking tooxbox and bedbar!

 

Cool deal. I am gonna do the lease program just as soon as I decide on what. Boerne is the only dealership that has a trail edition 4Runner so my wife can take a look at it before we decide on that or a limited (I want the TE). The hard part about the lease is the 3-4 month lead time wait.

 

Lookin getting a silver tx pro done, and hoping in 4 years ill have a good job after college and able to purchase it myself. and i wasnt aware of the wait time... hopefully ill have it before i leave in january.... Dont think my first gen will make it haha

 

make sure you get that leak checked out Austin, im sure its the rear main seal and just keep an eye on the oil level...shouldnt cost too much to fix

 

Im only gonna have it for a couple more weeks before its retired to the ranch as a farm truck once again but when i get a chance ill get it checked out. not sure if im willing to spend to have it fixed if ill only have it a couple more weeks anyway

 

Welp 9 days and 1500 miles after getting the keys I got hit by a baseball sized rock in the frs makes me wish I had the Tacoma. Just happy that at 75 and it coming off an oncoming dump truck it hit the a piller instead of coming clean through the windshield into me! Now back to driving the dads taco until I get a sealed windshield on the car..!

Haha that wasn't voluntarily caused by me! but man I ragged on it a couple days ago for 400 miles straight and if anything on that car was going to take a shit on me it would've happened I had the headers glowing and brakes burning! The first thing I'm going to do is upgrade rotors and pads! Ill probably track it here shortly I want to take it to the strip just for shits and giggles and look into msr and especially Harris hill since I'm 20 minutes from there

 

Cool I could hit the 1/4 too just to watch, I'd normally race but I need new tires in a bad way. Plus a LSD would be nice too. I would like to test my new ems, but priorities.

 

I need more power ....;D
