Rear shocks will provide no lift. Youll have to address the springs if you want to change the rear ride height

Posting this here because I like y’all.

Since the weather sucks in our part of the country anyone wanna help me decide on suspension lol? Seriously I’m having trouble deciding between HS 6112 set and Icon stage 1. I just want to bring the front up an 1”-1 1/2” or so and get the best on road ride quality as most of my wheeling is pretty minor by y’alls standards. I feel like I get more bang for the buck with the bilsteins but the icons will allow me to set the front exactly where I want it easier rather than having to disassemble and move the snap ring. Also planning Archive Hammer Hangers in the rear with the week old TSB pack. I’m happy with the rear height. Yes I know it’s a bit of overkill probably but buy the best and only cry once lol.

    Suggestions?

Im doing 6112 with 700 lb king springs in my opinion 6112 is lower end coilover but if your doing minor wheeling they might work great for you

Gotcha. I don’t wheel for fun, it’s strictly what has to be done when hunting, usually ends up being mud. Thanks. This truck is just a toy for me really but it will end up being my boys truck in a few years.

That’s what I was thinking originally, but I know myself and how I tend to let projects snowball so I went for middle of the road from the start to help ease that a little..... I hope lol.

My first shock setup was the basic icons 2.5 ext. travel an 2.0s out back rode great in the dirt the faster I went. On assfault was good but somewhat a little stiff.
I’ve rode in a couple trucks with the 6112 an imho was a better ride overall felt more planted an soaked road imperfections better.
Either way you’ll have a great setup but the icons are known for leaking, I did not have this issue however.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to get registered.

I think you'll like the ride quality of the Bilstein shocks over the Icons for daily driving and light off-road use.

Bilstein shocks are progressive, meaning the more/faster you compress them the more absorption/resistance they'll offer. Icons are DIGRESSIVE which means they offer the most resistance initially and become easier to compress as you compress the shock.

The up side to progressive Bilstein shocks is that they handle small-moderate bumps much better providing a smoother, more comfortable ride. The largest bumps meeting the most compression, resistance, and absorption at the end if the shock. Bilstein does have high-end desert racing shocks for big, fast, crazy stuff.

The up side to Icons is if you're hauling ass across a desert hitting large bumps at speed, you won't feel them. However,
a lot of people say Icon's digressive shocks are stiff for daily driving and they feel every crack in the road.

I have Bilstein shocks on my long-travel XJ - very smooth ride.

I put Bilstein shocks on my mom's Tundra - ride is Cadillac.

I would also suggest using the springs from your truck unless you plan to add a heavy bumper/winch.

Dude after those OME shocks I did a shit-ton of research to figure out what went wrong, why, and how to make sure I get exactly what I want out in ride quality and performance.

    Hence the Kings.

Plus I'm really ADD so when I find something I'm interested I tend to hyper focus on it.

You guys confirmed what I was thinking. I was leaning 6112 anyway. Planning to refresh everything with an energy susp full kit at the same time. Truck has 151 on the clock and is 100% original parts including shocks and struts. Now if I can get off work long enough to install it once it comes in.
