it's like when you give a kid an ice cream cone and they drop it on the ground before they can lick it

Still feels the jet lags. Spring break in Corpus looks to be a bust this year.

I mean we have more than the normal traffic, just the beach is pretty dead. The tide today came all the way up to the dunes.

That's a lot of tide. I haven't seen it go that high in the summer in a long time. You at Corpus or South end?

I'm in Corpus. Winter can be the worst and best beach driving. Lots of rain makes the sand pack, but on a high tide in winter beach it'll go right up to the dunes easy.

That's what I remember from our few spring trips to Corpus. Had to be in and out. and too many kids, even at PINS!
We love PINS in the summer!

OH - duh - yes, the leak is no more! (edit). Everything back on, which is good because gas heat, stove, dryer, & water heater!
Sorta, but the yard is back to flat(ish), and they may even bring the promised quarter pallet of Gonzales grass on Monday. Good crew. Wife gave them donut holes, mini sausage pigs in a blanket, and then the bonfire brownies. That gets pretty good service. Here's a Readers Digest!

They’re going to put some black dirt down and resod that, right?

Because I know what directions I’d be giving.

If boss man can get the sod, that's the black dirt they will have. I will probably run to Lowe's on Sunday for a few bags. Gas guys, not landscapers, and they only put it back as found. since "as found" included that 48" stump you saw getting ground, I think I can swing that. Happy just to be getting grass I can water in. I don't mind a little "texture" in the yard.

This was about 2 hours after the tide started dropping.
