You should be able to clock the ends on the winch for clearance. Of course, not saying that makes the winch fit, if it doesn't, but many warn winches need to be clocked to fit an ARB. Often there are access holes so you can reach the clutch lever etc through the top of an arb. As for the solenoids, they are both removable on the VR and zeon. The zeon requires a little effort due to the busbar set up that makes the connections within the housing without cables. So cables are needed after relocation. Relocation would be just directly on the top flat surface of the bumper, while the cables run down to the winch. Again, not saying the VR or zeon will fit for sure, but I did find posts on the web where guys mounted the VR10s in ARB's.. and looking at the warn site, the 10 and 12 have the same footprint and size. But, I will try to find out more on fitment before I go out and buy the ARB.

This in an Xterra so I would assume, maybe I shouldn't, that the ARB on it wouldn't be much different in size than a Tacoma ARB.

From what I understand, the differences of each ARB product (bumpers) is vast as they're specifically engineered to each vehicle, and only stay within their specific design/regulated parameters.

While some will accept one thing, or clear another, others won't.

I say go for it. If you get it to work, I'll be VERY interested.
