I like to, but not a much as I want to. Usually I'm passing through state parks on my way to fun off-road stuff, but sometimes I'm at a spot for hiking. Once I have a base camp, I'll hike.

 

That. I started with the backpacker mentality for packing, then i needed this, then that, and then i said,"wait, I have too much complicated stuff." Talking to Sohail during the trail run on GMRS reminded me
me that I was overthinking and adding unnecessary stuff.

 

Easy cycle to fall into.

 

It really is, especially when the truck is carrying the weight lol.

 

First phase of my truck was like that.
It's been on a decent diet since then.

Expect for multi-night trips. I've been making exceptions for cast iron cookware lately.

Nothing says camp like dutch oven food stuffs.

 

I have those for times when I don't want to cook real food. I haven't needed them yet.

I want to bring my cast iron, but I only have new car iron. Needs more time to get smooth. I have a Dutch oven and skillet, though. I used the skillet last week for bacon, egg and cheese tacos.

 

Won't get any better sitting at home.
Cheap, greasy bacon and some charcoal.

Yep. Key is being the one using it. I bought my wife an electronic griddle and that's her favorite to use.

 

Any pine cones for backup

 

Nope. I have 4 spare rolls in my kitchen kit.

Man when they up to speed to 90 miles an hour on 35 I swear I could do a hundred and still can't catch the guy in front of me

 

That's howi feel. I camp the slow lane at 75 occasionally passing people lol

 

well I have a CDL and speeding is considered a moving violation and I would get a point on me if I got a speeding ticket

 

So don't speed
