    @hoverlover

    I seen the free concert on Friday Night. We have that tentatively scheduled depending on our return from CC. We just can't Rip-n-Roar the same way that we used too.

    PS: I've taken up the hobby of RC Heli's recently. I plan on it being a retirement hobby. So I'm trying to pay my dues right now. I started with a 300 Class heli (290mm Rotor Blade). And have recently graduated to a 500 Class Heli (516mm Rotor Blade). I really love the sport. And have even though about full size lessons. But the real world hobby is just out of reach for me.

    I used to race rc 1/8 scale nitro. Got so much stuff. Tried to donate it all to local school robotics school and they never contacted me back. Still trying to find a place to donate.

    Wonderful idea. But hard to find similar interest in todays world. Younger generation want to drive on their notebook. All the Mom-n-Pop Hobby Shops in my area have gone out of business. There are a couple of flying fields around central AR. But I hardly see anyone there. I've had to buy everything On-Line and learn with the help of good people on the forums.

    Early this summer, and I don't know why, but our Wal Mart had better selection of Texas brews than HEB or our liquor store. Then, starting last month, it's all Bud-Light! And I really enjoyed Love Street!

    Trucks? Buggies? Truggies?
    I had a couple HPI Savage SS's I used to race. Lots of fun. I loved painting the bodies. I still have an HPI Nitro MT2 in the garage. Needs a new front diff, parts are hard to find for that one now though.

    I tried the RC heli's, never could get it down. Crashed a bunch of them lol
    It's an expensive career to get in to. I've got something around $115k in training. Luckily the GI Bill paid for all but $30k of it.

    Cost me a dime or two. Especially trying to learn without a mentor. I lost orientation on the 500 and it cost a couple of hundred to repair. I have a SIM that I use for practice on my PC. And it helps a lot. I can fly basic circuits right now. But my goal is to do acrobatics. I can hover in any orientation on the SIM (even inverted). But scared to try it on the 500. If you haven't watched an RC heli acrobat, you need to take a look. It's amazing what they can do. And the sound of the rotors beating the air is awesome.

    I've seen em, they're pretty crazy. Power to weight ratio is unreal on those things.

    Evening everyone hovering upside down in SATX! Guess what I can't get? Any part of the storm, so since it was 101*, and it's watering night, guess what?
