4 Wheel Parts has aligned mine perfectly Twice over the years. I know everyone loves to rail on them for no reason with no personal experience. But they have always done me right. But there was a 2-3 week wait for next appointment and they are busy as hell the few times I have been there.....so they must be doing things right with that much business.
Firestone on San Pedro refused to work on anything lifted or with non-stock size tires.

Weird that Firestone turned you down. The Firestone on Blanco and West ave did my alignment and put it to the specs I wanted. Even purchased the lifetime alignment from them. They even greased the bushings in my TC UCA's for $15. No problem there.

The firestone mentioned above does do good work. I asked why they don't have problem with doing the alignment on lifted trucks they said two things. They are not gunna turn down business and two they do all the alignments for the lift shop down the street.

I hear good things about Braun Automotive they say they do custom alignments.

They are probably talking about 4x4 Source. They are a off road shop also just down the street by West ave and Blanco. They primarily work on jeeps and are more affiliated with rock wheelers than prerunner types. BUT...they were down the street from my house and they do excellant work. Since I've taken my truck in I've seen on Facebook that they've done a few other toyotas..tacomas and 4runners. Tell them John in the black tacoma sent you. Passionate guys when it comes to wheeling. All the jeeps get together at Gradys on 281 some Friday nights. Their Facebook will tell you.

Howdy all, with the purchase of my '17 Tacoma TRD OR I opted to get on Tacoma World instead of just lurking. Puro San Antonio here. Glad to see we've got a group of SA peeps. Cheers!

Thanks bud. I live off of Broadway near the Witte Museum. I own and operate a cocktail bar in Alamo Heights so I moved closer to it. I used to live off of Blanco near Bitters but I like living closer to downtown much more. It's so convenient to all the major highways that cut through SA.

    Cheers!

    Hey..Blanco and Bitters...that's my hood.
I live right across from Churchill estates.
I've always said SA is a small town.

That's great. I work close by, off broadway and 410, near 4wheelparts. Hopefully you weren't affected by that tornado.

I was affected, but not in a bad way - it rained so hard people were stuck at my bar and continued to drink

But really, no I wasn't - the worst hit was up near the quarry off of Basse.

Well my experience wasn't good at local shop this am after visiting last Friday and explaining everything beforehand only to be told no problem. No problem. No problem.
I explained everything last week to shop. They kept saying no problem. I said I just wanted 0,0,3 caster.
    No problem.
Now this am after checking truck in I went outside to have my coffee since it was hot inside and I already saw enough news.
Counter guy comes out and asks if I wanted a particular alignment. And as I started talking a mechanic walked right up in my space which got my attention. I said yes. He said they can only do to factory specs. I said I wish they would've told me that last week and it would've saved us both alot of time and aggrivation.
Then the mechanic popped off loudly and said he's only doing it to factory specs or take it somewhere else! I looked at him and said I wasn't here to argue. He said I'm not arguing take it somewhere else . I put my hand out and asked for my keys.

My Experience at Firestone (San Pedro) was similar. I went in...the guy looked at my truck, I also informed him..its lifted and I just want to make sure you will do the alignment...He said sure and I made an appointment. When I went back for the work...a different guy said...we dont align lifted trucks or non-stock tires.

Like I said, 4 Wheel parts has always done me right...Stick with a place that has 100% lifted trucks in the parking lot and a 3 week wait...they obviously know what they are doing. Sounds like the Firestone on Blanco & West Ave. is another good place.

Wouldn't have been so bad if the mechanic wasn't an ass.
Counter guy was very polite and professional.
Never going back there for anything.
