San Antonio

SA traffic is why I leave for work at 5 am

 

Met up with a few other folks from south tx tacomas last night in San Antonio. If anyone on here is interested, were having weekly meets every friday night! Im hoping we can get some more interest from the TW folks here in this thread

 

I was actually up late last night. Just in no shape to drive

 

Where'd you guys go? If you're meeting weekly I could probably find time to join here and there.

 

We met up at twin peaks restaurant off of i-10 this past time. Typically were trying to meet somewhere with good draft beer and food, since that makes everything better lol. But it does vary from week to week. If you're on facebook, you can join the south texas tacomas page and at the top it has an event listed for each week where were going to meet up, normally its around 7pm or later on friday nights. From what i can tell most of the guys in the SA area dont get on TW, but there are definitely some nice trucks and good folks in the area! Check it out if you can, i never got on FB before i joined the group but i wanted to try to get more involved with the taco owners in this area and its been a good time thus far. I got started meeting up at cars and coffee in SA too, so theres another good place every month you could go if the weekly ones dont work out for you. I think the Cars and Coffee is the second saturday of every month from 8-10am

I'll be there, just got back from a month long TDY to Ft. Hood. Can't say I missed the San Antonio traffic but glad to be back.

The church does take a collection for the event when your arrive, last month it was in support of Harvey.

I arrived a little bit before 0800 last month and was able to be in an area where the few of us that showed up were able to park together. This is not far from the Tundra group that shows up, this was in behind the main parking lot.

Im looking forward to seeing some more tacos there this weekend. If everyone gets there a little before 8 we should be able to line them all up!

 

I'm gonna miss it this month because I want to go to the TAO Fall Outdoor Expo instead. We went last year and it was really cool. Lots of overlanding rigs and gear there too. It's about a two hour drive though , up in Llano. Check out their website http://www.texasavidoutdoors.com/
