Nothing wrong with that at all. Like I said, my cousin offers to install for me often, and even sometimes for free.. and I tell him no I'll do it. Just because I prefer to work on mine myself most of the time. In the end I say go where you're comfortable and where you will spend less of your hard earned money. But in all fairness, Texoma and HS are not the only place to get quality work done. But again, I have no doubt Tex has earned his rep through honest, solid work. I'm all about the best man for the job. sometimes that me, and sometimes depending on the situation at hand, that may be someone else. Always good to have options.

Nice looking rig, on a side note from who to install how does it ride?

It rides great. The expos are softer than I thought they would be, but still slightly firmer than stocks of course. But, since I was planning ahead, I suspect they'll be prefect when I have a steel rear bumper. Right now the only extra weight is my spare 315 in the bed. But I've hauled some bags of horse feed and a tub or two of molasses and it rode very nice.. better than stock. That was just a few hundred pounds.. but no squating. Up front it's still pretty much a factory ride, only difference is the 5100's vs the stock shocks. No complaints except for the occasional cab mount rub .. but I will get to that soon.

I e always liked the look of the 6" lift kits but they are nice. So you installed a set of 5100 struts up front? If so I figured this could be done, I have a set of 6112s up for sale but may decide to keep them, just on the fence over the whole deal.

Yeah, because of the nature of the drop bracket design, the stock springs are still up front, and I just went with 5100's set at 0. I could have left the stock off road billys. I'm hoping to shorten the spacer later on and then swap into 2+ inch springs to off set the front bumper and winch it will have later on down the road. Then I'll either use a smaller spacer or modify the current one. Only reason I would mod the current one is to leave one side slightly taller to correct the dreaded taco lean on the drivers side.

I hope to make it out some day. It can be hard on my schedule. I work 24 on and 48 off. So, on the day of the event I can be going into work at 8, getting off after 9, or just off.

Been there, installed cabling for you all there. Guess I'm gonna need to do a drive by then. I'm working with tech services to move them to port SA now, council approved this last week.

Cool. I won't be back until next tues .. have a couple of shifts off. But if the taco is there, then I am... unless we're on a run.

With a 4.0 and auto mine does pretty damn well. I hardly notice a difference over stock for daily driving. Up in the hills for the expo with 4 of us in it I had to give it a little more gas in the hills, but not so much when I had an open road. It's usually when I have someone farting along in front of me where they're slowing me down. If I ever regear mine it won't be drastic. I'd like to see how some 4.30 gears do compared to the current 3.73. I do have the hypertech installed, so my speedo is dead on.

I will most likely be out that way next week as work should be starting. I have my hypertech installed as well it's nice knowing my true speed.

    Edit

I know this is much over all but you made the 10000 post for this thread.
