Truck's grown up quite a bit in a year.

Here's a pic before the OME lift went in the day I put the 255's on.

What size are yours? I've been trying to figure out a common 33" tire that's narrower but all I ever see talked about are 285s.

    EDIT: 255/85/R16's BFG KO2's are 33.3" x 10"

    Thank you!

No CMC and no rubbing with the stock TRD O/R rims. After the lift, I ran the factory mud flaps and if they ever rubbed it wasn't enough for me to notice or be bothered enough to remember it. After the 12" shocks went in the rear, I have removed the rear fender liners and all 4 of the mud flaps.

    They are

    I've seen a few 3rd gen's run the 255's without a lift.

There's a bunch of great info on the 255's in this thread. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/255-85-r16-owners-experience.155849/

It's worth checking out if you're interested. Some people went really deep into explaining the science of tall and skinny vs tall and wide. It sold me on them. Like I said, they grip everywhere I've taken them and they out-preform the 33x12.50's I have have run in the past in regards to traction. They really are a great size

I've heard good things previously. Weight savings, better mpgs. Even in mud I've heard they do well... sink down to where it's hard vs. floating on top.

They do very well in mud and at the beach despite what people say about needing floatation. I've had no issues even in deep sloppy stuff. They also don't have issues in ruts. If you want to get out of or across a rut they just cut right through. They continue to impress me.

Lesters is right up the frontage road from his new shop. They do a great job with their alignments. He'd be wise to partner up with them.

Years ago I bought a set of tires from Lester's for my old taco.
They didn't say thank you. I never went back.
