I need to find a job there again. My commute sucks and my job with the Army is easy, but not what I really want to be doing.

Yeah the Ft Sam area sucks, I don't envy you at all making that drive everyday

I've worked places that have less to offer, so I won't complain too much. I beat the morning traffic but coming home is a mess. I take the longest route by mileage because it's still faster somehow.

Haha sounds about right. I would definitely need a different daily driver if I worked over there.

Yep. That's why the Taco stays at home. The BRZ is pulling 29.5 consistently. I didn't even want to clock the Taco because I already knew it only gets 19 downhill, unloaded, and with a strong tailwind.

29.5? Boy am I jealous. I get just about 18 mpg and that's being generous, but then again I didn't buy a truck to be fuel efficiency. But man I would love a BRZ as a Daily Driver or maybe an Acura RSX.

Fair enough. I didn't either. But when/where I bought the truck things were different. Needed 4 doors and the ability to drive in snow & ice with ease. But I keep it in case I want to do truck things and I have a trailer.

RSX is nice. I considered a last gen Celica but they seem to be few and far between and even less with the fun engine.

I try to make a meet every once in a while (which is really more of just having a few beers with the guys that actually show up, which are very few) but unfortunately idk where they go off roading. From the looks of the pics they post online it looks like more of a mud hole that they go to lol and im not too big on those so thats why i havent really pursued it.. They do seem kinda weird about who they share their locations with because i guess theyve had problems with people being reckless in the past so not sure if itll be super easy to get that info out of them if i dont actually go with them.. its been getting harder for me to make it up that way lately just due to how far i am from SA and bc ive been pretty busy

Tuesday is going to make it harder for me to get down that way since im an hr and a half from san antonio. thursday or friday or a weekend would work alot better for my schedule just bc id have to travel. Id love to try and make it, but on this one, its more than likely gonna be a negative for me ghostrider.. if everyone else is good with the tuesdays though, i will work around my schedule and see if i can make things work for the next meet. Any feedback or opinions on a thursday/friday evening or weekend meet in addition to the ones on tuesdays? I have fridays off until the end of the year.. Also, im not trying to complicate things, or change the day if everyone is good for tuesdays, i just know its gonna make it harder for me to make very many of the meets, and id like to try and be a regular at them if my schedule permits

Yeah, it's crazy in here now. It's like a mini austin thread. Can't afford not to keep up any more.
