You’re right maybe I can weld up some recovery points up to the ARB bumper maybe?

@05prerun82 hows the weather up there? Just heard on NOAA that there's large hail and favorable for tornado in your area.

Our journey was through the entirety of the Lincoln National Forest. First night, we camped in the southern section near Sitting Bull Springs. We traveled from there to near Cox Canyon where we camped the second night.

We explored the area around Cloudcroft the following day, finding an amazing camp spot at 9600 feet of elevation. We used the rest of the day to head into Alamagordo to check out a pistachio farm and reload on booze.

On the final day we decided to swing by Sunspot Observatory, but it was closed to the public, so we instead walked around Apache Observatory. After that we headed home, avoiding I10.

Around Lampasas, I got pulled over for my taillamps not working and was issued a warning. I told the trooper it was probably a fuse, then he incorrectly told me if the fuse was blown my taillights and headlights would both be out. I raised he was an idiot, so I kept my mouth shut lol. I swapped out the blown fuse in the first parking lot and was good to go.

It was gorgeous, but really dry. This time of year is also very windy in that area.

Huh, would not expected the wind factor in that area, but hey never have been there.

I saw a few post on Instahoe but that was it with little to no info. If all goes as planned we will be traveling to glacier next year, planning on 2 weeks + for that run.

It was tricky getting a camping spot out of the wind until we got to the mountains. I think they were 40+ mph gusts.

Oh damn that is extreme for the wind, making a campfire would of been very iffy
