Holy chet, kerrville got pounded. All the street lights are still out this morning. Couple miles past hunt on my way in you could start to see where the trees just got beat to hell. Tree branches and crap all over the road this morning on the way in too

:hattip: Morning SATX! Just that 0.67" all told, most of it in 15 minutes, and NO HAIL DAMAGE to anything! Yay. Hope @MightyMouseTom finds the same in the daylight. And the rest of you too.

So, here's my summary for LBR suspension, at least as I see it. Covering up the winch shackle and hook got rid of the big bangs. Still had lots of shakes and rattles throughout the cab though on the way there. Had the techs STUFF as much grease as they could into all the zerks - told them I have more than normal - and they did. Said the fittings took a lot, and some of the boots were cracking, so they stopped before they made a mess. Noticed nothing else abnormal. Lots of construction around SM Toyota, so I got some big bumps in right away, and it was "better". By the time I was home, it was almost "normal", a stiff suspension that makes some rattles.

So, I think @MattCowsmasher ID'd the big noise, and I will tuck it up. @LostHusker is right, and all the bumper, winch, and new wheels and tires are more than those OEM shocks and struts want to bear, so they made everything else work harder too. Hence, grease like medicine for bad knees - won't last but it feels better. Shopping soon....

Morning Kurt I’m glad you got it figured out it didn’t rattle to often when I had it.

I think the rope got a little more slack over time, giving it a little more swing. But, I could patent the "Hook Condom for Mall Crawlers" (HCMC!) and make a small fortune!

    very small fortune...

Ya it sounded like it got hit hard

Morning Kurt, be patient something will show up what will work for ya well. Could always look at OME setup, cost is better then looking at Kings, etc.

I have at least a month or so of forced patience while I recover my finances. But I know many of you all started on an OME set-up and moved on. I will spend more and buy once if I need to. My plans to abuse the truck are unchanged - it's not crawling or flying through the air. I want the best ride I can get with 3" and it's a perfect world.
But, I am looking on line for stuff as we speak. Need more coffee before I do useful work today!

Hope we hear the same from @MightyMouseTom ! I know it's loud and fierce inside a cab during a hail storm.

My wife went over to our old place to finish cleaning it out, and the whole place is a mess. Downed trees in the front, half the roof missing in the rear, ripped the door off the outside laundry room on the patio. Was kind of wishing it would have blown the whole apartment down so we wouldn't have to finish clearing out....
