Good Morning SATX! Happy Labor Day to all you hard workers. Going to empty the greenhouse and try to get some more pool time while I cook. Have a small trimmed brisket to smoke on the Weber as best I can, with some South Side sausage. Had the sausage with chicken breast yesterday, corn, salads and beans. Re-run with the brisket instead. Have to be careful with the little guy, so he may end up finishing in the oven. Something to do anyway!

Hey Maner, I was reading about the Meater thermometer and app. Amazon reviews are all love/hate. I looked on that BBQ thread for your and Zach comments, but they were all just when you both had first gotten them. Looks a lot different than just a thermometer. So after a year or so; "greatest thing since sliced bread?" or not?

It works great for me now that I have wifi in the shop. It can still drop out at times. I have the Meater Block set and just purchased the Meat Stick Wifi Bridge set with extra probes. You might like this one better. It's more user friendly. They both have there pro's and cons. But the main thing is no dam wires.

Thanks. I have a wired one still in the package. It's a replacement for the one I got that melted on the Weber shell! Why put a magnet on something that can't take the heat? Wire wasn't long enough to go anywhere else. I'll probably just use my fork probe today, and go check out their web-site. The app itself had me as much interested as the wireless; looked more helpful to an amateur than just the temp displays.
