Colorado is awesome, love the views up there. Grew up just 4 hours away so got to go almost every summer for day or weekend getaways with the parents. Considered moving there at one time, but stayed in TX

I am looking for inferno rear bumper end caps. I currently have the chrome end caps and would like to find a set of inferno end caps. I can buy or trade with cash on top, to whomever might be interested. Please PM.

You should post this for a wtb in the 3rd gen section. Will most likely get better results out there.

It's a shame you're traveling in winter. I don't think the road through Rocky Mountain NP will be open -- unless there's been to little snow to close it. Driving from Glenwood Springs to Estes would be and epic drive. I assume you'll be taking 70 east and going the long way around then.

Yessir, that's what its looking like at this point. We're kind of at the mercy of mother nature as far as traveling goes.. I'd love to go back up there during the summer though.. Going to have to add that to my list..

Why not just do the "remove/repaint/clearcoat" mod? I've also seen them painted black, which also looks good on certain colors.

Tried taking it to a couple of body shops and they didnt seem confident in painting over the "chrome". Didn't feel like doing any more leg work. Seemed easy to just post something up and see if anyone bites.

Been thinking about doing black, but to me, it doesnt look as good as body coler matched. Might just do that to hold me over.

Not a huge fan of real bumpers. Prefer the OEM chicken wire strength bumpers.

You could get lucky and have someone rear end you hard enough to warrant a new bumper and soft enough to not damage anything else :)

With the structural strength of the OEM rear bumper, that would be about as safe as playing Russian roulette with a 1911.

I'm pretty sure they're not real chrome - it's a chrome coating plated onto an alloy paint over plastic. I've seen several instances of folks in the "what have you done to your 3rd gen" thread who've taken them off, sanded and primed them, and rattle canned them with the matching 3M color and clearcoated them. Every case looked great, and you couldn't tell that they'd come chromed.

    YMMV

Correct. Not real chrome. Just wasnt able to find a body shop that wanted the job.

Didn't feel like beging for them to take my business.

If they had inferno in a can, I'd likely give it a try myself. Although, I much rather pay a pro $100ish dollars to paint the 2 small pieces.
