You should have picked up the grinder today! I am right up the road from Tom. It's pretty slow here today!

Not ready yet. According to the recipe, 3 hours unwrapped, 2 hours wrapped, 1 hour unwrapped and sauced. Honestly, I am kind of nervous because they looked amazing when I pulled them out the first time.

I haven't registered on the Tundra forums yet. Don't really want to... Since this tundy needs some work, does anyone have a preference for oem toyota parts? A lot of sites out there all sell the same thing. Anyone have the best prices, shipping or better customer service. I actually have never had to source oem for my taco so I'm kinda running blind here

That would have been a good idea, but I hunker down for college football, no mater how the Horns break my heart. I agree with Kevin, looks good, and made me think about picking some up for a smoker tomorrow, but I'm gonna put it off a week, and found some Filets!

Yank the charcoal filter off the intake, reset it. Will help with fuel mileage.

Ribs turned out pretty tasty. I will be honest though, smoking on the grill isnt something I enjoy. I feel like i lost a lot if time babysitting the grill. I may eventually buy a pellet smoker, because the food was wonderful.

I made a smoker years ago in another lifetime with separate fire box with grill out of a water heater and exhaust was a smoke box that was superb. Traded it for a surgical fiber optic scope.

just saw earlier post - 3-2-1 is a smoker recipe, so you did good faking it that long on a grill! Ribs took about 1:15 average on my old Weber, indirect with fire each side, which is close. So, wet apple chunks from the get go for smoke. Always good, but really had to watch the fire the last 30 minutes or tender went to well done without charring stuff. Grill smoking is hard.
That's why I changed, and the 3-2-1 is what I am going to do with the vertical smoker next time. I have enough time these days, and supervising with a beer or two is well worth it.
I have to have some experience before the Holiday turkeys!

I did the 321 method. By the end of the 2, transferring them back to the grill they were literally falling apart. I left them on for about 15 minutes with sauce just to make sure they didnt dry out. They were good though.
