Y'all hear toyota dropped the land cruiser in the u.s they said sales just weren't what they were expecting but what do you expect when you sell a 55k vehicle for 90k

 

Doubt it. That's been an overseas production vehicle for years based on the Hilux frame.

Considering Toyota America is well established with the 4Runner and Tacoma, they have no reason to vary from what is quite successful in this market.

 

True maybe one day the tax laws will allow the Hilux to be sold in the u.s but it probably won't be anytime soon

 

I mean it's not like it has emissions problems like some of the older japanese sports cars something to do with chicken tax laws

I thought of that when I saw your post this morning.

 

Good afternoon everybody not 67 yet but it's close enough

 

Good Evening SA! Slept in and got first in line on my labs today, then pretty much went right to work. Realized tonight, I never did Good Mornings without my coffee!
Beautiful day! Got to open all the doors in the garage for sunshine and warmth (well, 60's), and the dog only ran off once. Got a lot done. More to go, but now, I have the vision in place!



Should I open the doors?

 

If only it were that good of a deal.

Long story short.

Bought that bumper yesterday.
Attempted to mount that bumper today.
Returned bumper to previous owner tonight.

It does not fit as advertised.
From what I could gather from other members here it will not fit:
1st gen Taco
2nd gen Taco (2005-2011)
2nd gen Taco (2012-2014)
3rd gen Taco

Bumper is ~8" too narrow to fit 2nd gen
Could possibly be modified to fit 1st gen

 

I got my money back.
Could've been worse.
