Morning SA,,,,anybody going to work today? I have been told to stay home...

 

I am headed out the door in a moment.

Wind is kicking.

 

It’s nasty in town. I’m kicking back and see about getting a haircut

 

I have a feeling the roads aren't what they are stating, but I should go in but when the boss calls you directly the night before and requests that you stay home....

 

Ya it sounded like hail last night, all the pecans being thrown everywhere by the wind.

 

I walked in on boss telling my supervisor something about us repair guys being on the road. He said he didn’t have to worry about me. I’d stay home if I spotted 1 spec of sleet

Ya the wife is getting ready for work now, I'm scared for her as she is from here....

 

I’m going to get dressed in a bit. Have to get company phone out of truck

 

Made my 30mi commute without issue.

Wind is howling.
Overpasses/interchanges are open.
City is quiet.

The few vehicles on the road I encountered are doing 30mph, in the left lane, with their hazards on.

 

Kinda what I figured.

Doesnt seem like there was much, a little on the truck but not enough to accumulate on the ground

 

Y'all be careful. All our stuff is covered in a thin layer of ice. They've closed EVERYTHING up here, and for once I think it was rightly deserved. Weather person just said that we can expect up to an inch of snow on top of the ice until around 1300 today.

WITAF?

I moved back to Texas because snow was that crap that happened to those people on TV.

 

Ya debating on what to do now.

I don't believe we will even see a 1/4" total accumulation unless something changes.

 

I was on my way out the door at 5 when my boss texted me and said to stay home. Boerne is colder but I think SA is getting worse weather. Roads were damp early but no ice, though my truck had a nice layer of ice on it. See how the day progresses.
