haha this isn’t the first time I’ve heard that. I just haven’t had time to find a new spot yet. I figure I would look for new locations this weekend and see what was out there. Trying to balance drive distance and hotel location.

The hotel industry had to profit with the oil industry, I'm sure you seen the newer hotels off 181 in the area your at.

yup! And they’re making a killing right now from the government.

for reference, hotels down in Del Rio and Eagle Pass are charging $189/night or more and have zero availability. Gov is allowing us to go +300% over standard per diem rate for lodging down there. Up here it’s still stable and can get regular government rates.

Took more time to pull knives, cutting board and hose out than to clean this little snack, not much there for 8week old, but I don't like to waste what's provided either.

Fix them with all that tax from the fuel, it costs more to pay all the county clerks than what is collected for vehicle registration and auto/trailer sales tax. Sales tax goes to the state, not county.

The registration fee, which begins at $50.75, goes directly to the State Highway Fund. In 2017, the fund collected more than $1.5 billion in registration fees for the construction and maintenance of the state's transportation system, according to the DMV.Apr 4, 2018

everywhere, it all goes to the state, and comes back to the counties....

Yes, and your taxed by the county in other formats to hire employees to turn around and collect state taxes, it's all a scam....

I want to collect more tax from you Mr. @Oldie2007 so I can turn around and pay the state tax you owe also.

:rofl::rofl: Yep, it all happens by magic!

(Tx has no income tax as you know, so instead we pay tax by line item).

The State inspection places used to issue us stickers, they have to send the sales tax charged to the state quarterly, and they check our insurance as well. Redundancies...
Get the state to issue them the printers, when you go in to get inspection pay the $7 and $75 registration$82 and be done, those companies are more efficient than county government any day of the week.

Yeaaaah, those inspection places are SOOOOOO trustworthy. And you don't need proof of insurance anymore at the County office - that's already done.

Maybe if you didn't put them off until past due, and pay them at once, it would not be a big bill! :spending:

Because we don't pay an income tax. So, it's all regressive, and disproportionate.

Yep, you win! It's all a scam......

Getting dangerously close to thin ice here. I'm done!
