:pccoffee: Good Morning Scott & Good Morning SA! Well, changed out our cabin air filters on the vehicles first thing, and made the mistake of telling the wife how easy they made the RAV4. Because she asked if I "fixed" the window lock control, so that she can operate the windows from the driver seat, with the lock on. I explained again, that's not how it works, but that didn't fly. There is ONE statement in the manual that alludes to the driver being in control of the locked windows, and she reads it that she can operate the windows. Much Uncle Google, and 5 RAV4 forums, and a friend who has the exact same car later....answer is still the same. Well, not how she remembers it, and she will ask her friend. :smack:

So, I did more spring research, and cleaned my K&N instead of getting down on the ground to play with the suspension, at 95*. Rides fine when parked, after all. I might just wait until the weekend, when we're going to have a cold front and only 85* highs! Because, the pool was very nice yesterday!

Pretty sure my fuel pump kicked the bucket, debating on dropping the tank that I just filled up myself or paying a shop to do it.

It waited until the day before my parents came for a visit, impeccable timing fuel pump, thanks.

:pccoffee: Good Morning SA! Finally replaced my Masterbuilt grille controller with the warranty new one, and spent more time on the connections and software. But it seems to have prompted a better app - we'll see. Lubed and Scotchgaurded the patio chairs, and some other Putz, and.... day over! Might be even more useful today after a WalMart errand. Who knows?

Oh, got hold of the Whirlpool folks, and while they won't send me a new control board, they will authorize a free service call to replace it. Have to call them today.

I would diy but idk if you have the space, time, storage for fuel or lifts to help lower the tank. It would be a good time to upgrade provided you'd have the funds and time. If not just get a regular assembly.

    Morning Gents!

Agreed the tank can be much more involved that it looks. Opportunity! Buy the upgrade parts you want, have them install. But check the warranty order if you do!

That said, nothing wrong with stuff that gives no trouble over a decade, @ohcaltexscar.

Well my parents are down for a visit and my Dad and Father-in-law both said we should move the bed change it out ourselves.
So I’ve ordered a Delphi replacement unit, I can get it here before they leave so no upgraded parts this time around.

Should be fun, I haven’t been able to work on a vehicle with my Dad in almost a decade.

Well that's bonus points right there! Robert's upgrades would just get you a speeding ticket anyway!

    Evening gents :hattip:

Well........we we're all packed and ready to leave for Indiana tomorrow morning for a family members graduation this weekend but just got a last minute notice that his dad has come down with COVID so everything has been cancelled , so looks like we're out about $500 for car rental and Airbnb :annoyed:, luckily we got all our points back from Southwest for the flights, so I guess there is at least that.

Always seems to be bad timing for things like that, but at least you'll get to wrench with your dad. Hopefully everything goes smooth.

Out of curiosity, what upgrades are you thinking about?

I doubt my engine would know what to do with increased fuel flow!

Boy I hope so, of course it seems pretty straight forward but then again, there’s always something

Yeah, but I can kinda understand, especially for the Airbnb, less than 24hr notice and they would lose money as well with no other way to have someone else book the place. But car rental is another story, they can rent that car pretty fast after a cancellation. Guess this is what we'll be living with from here on out
