Yeah I don't blame you on the humidity. I used to live in Houston and that shit made everything miserable.. I can deal with the hot and dry weather up where I'm at, it isn't too bad

Got like 3-4 hrs left. Got catfished by my desk phone as its an hour ahead.

 

You can't practice drawing from the conceal enough. With a double checked clear pistol, I like to set up a soda can or a beer bottle and practice drawing from the conceal, aiming in, and dry firing on it. Just practice everything slow and smooth until you build a muscle memory then work on speeding it up. Practice proper fundamentals, don't try to do it as fast as you can. Speed will come in time.

At the range, I also like to load magazines with a few random snap caps thrown in to practice clearing stoppages. If my wife is there I'll have her load the snap caps in so I can't guess where they will be.

 

Man I need to do some shooting. Been awhile.

 

I've heard of folks getting BB gun versions of their carry pistols and practicing at home. They can get through all the movement all the way through target acquisition and accuracy without worry of actually shooting a leg off.

All the behavior is there. It's nuts.

And they're cheap (compared to the real thing).

Took about 18 days from when i ordered, but they said 3-4 weeks
