Done with grubbing, this section that I did this week. Waiting on my brother to give me the size of the section.

What do you do with that space once it’s cleared?

 

99% of everything I ripped out of the ground there are invasive species trees/plants. USDA is paying me to clear it and other areas. Those mesquites and huisache trees are water mongers, removing vegetation like that allows more water to reach our aquifers and also allows more water for the native and improved grasses which helps improves the available forage for the livestock herd. After an area is cleared, I use the tractor and landscape rake to smooth it all out. Then I will sparsely spread some native seed mix, bermuda seed and pray for some rain. Not to mention, it opens up more area to Hunt dove and find them. I may have plant some winter rye in the fall.

 

I was very close to securing a 2nd gen with a blower and couldn't get it done. Still holding out for the right 2012-15 but considering a 3rd gen and putting a SC on that. The extra 8k is hard to swallow.

If you go 3rd gen, what size tires are you considering for it? You will most likely need to regear to make it worth all the cost.
