Finally wrenching on the first gen again after a 3 year hiatus, This morning I finally replaced my broken cowl that that bad north Texas hail storm took out back in 2020.


Just waiting for the marine sealant to cure now

Nice, the cure time shouldn't take forever in this Texas heat.

I spray painted some parts last week, can said 30 min cure in-between coats, more like 11min.

 

anyone aware of a local dealer not charging a markup on MSRP? I think we've just decided on a new tacoma instead of paying 30k+ for one with 100k miles.

I honestly think sales have slowed down, also late August into September new sales are very slow, and that can be a better time to make a purchase. IMO, I would wait another 7 to 9 weeks if you can.

And, in Utility room disease news, the utility frig caught the "10* freezer" disease from the old freezer. Applicance recycler I like has nothing that will fit, and little at all used. New scratch and dents, but I will have a new scratchless & dentless delivered Monday. Glad I caught a little 4th sale, and my Lowe's discount card for 5%. I might have to partition off the washer and dryer!

 

I'm really glad they didn't have these 20+ years ago, these could have been dangerous in my younger days.

Dang, I remember a few years back, I had to order a deep freezer, dishwasher, washer & dryer all within a month.

 

I keep telling myself that I will be saving money every month with this new stuff....

 

We were told they have happy hour 4 to 6pm Monday through Friday. These 32oz drinks were $5 each, I'm half ways through it and I can already feel a bit of a buzz coming on.

started standing my new/used hood that i'll be wrapping and putting on the wheeler.

the rock chips on this thing were the most intense chips i'd ever seen, no way to do this without sanding.

it's going to look absolutely obnoxious when i'm done, i cant wait.

 

I see we had a chatty bunch here yesterday, that's great. I will be happy when I get this DC maint behind me this weekend, its just wrong to be at work starting at 3am......
