A little something every chance we get.
If I hadn't been so careful to lube it all up as I worked it, and used a Jewlers' screwdriver shaft to prevent twist as I worked it on, I would think I screwed it up. Now, the replacement was just a tiny bit smaller (diameter and circumference) than the 15 year old original, but there's really no way to compare. I had to assume they sent me the right thing. I did the same thing putting the old one back on, and slid it on and off three times - no issue.
Could have been me, might just not have been the size it should of been.
Tomorrow, the rest of the stuff goes back on, and we'll see! Trying to get a replacement fan clutch out of AutoZone - might work, but noisy as all get out!!

    Evening gents :hattip:

Been a minute, been busy with work and had my uncle from Laredo pass, he had battling dementia the past 10+ years, so he's finally resting in peace.

Hope everyone's been doing well, definitely been enjoying this cooler weather.

Sorry to hear that Danny. That is a tough battle I'd wish on no one.

Did "enjoy" mowing and working on LBR in the cool weather! Local weather guy said tonight, ONE more day of 90*+ will break the all time Austin record (2011 of course) of 166 days in the year. Yeah, pool season did last longer.....

Thanks Kurt, yes definitely is hard. My aunt stuck by his side through it all, she was definitely strong.

Pool weather lasted too long for those without :p

    No leaks! :fingerscrossed:

Cooling down to be put together again. Then burp filled again.

Of course, my paranoid self reminds me I drove nearly 500 miles after the pump replace before these problems started

    OK, results!
Put LBR at the end of the drive so it's got the radiator as elevated as possible
Put the funnel and coolant in, and let it rip, heat to max
Once it hit 180*, started my timer for 20 minutes - blipping throttle once in a while. Steady at 186*, and blowing 140* out the vents (heater works!)
Switched over to max AC, reset timer for 20 more - more blips. Solid at 194* and blowing 45* out the vents (AC works)
Only a few bubble burps during this whole time. Shut it off, started 30 minute timer with the funnel and coolant still in place.
Burped the top hose several times before removing the funnel. Put the new cap on.
Ran the truck with the heat on, once hit 180* (tstat temp), let it run pressurized 10 minutes.
Switched to AC, and let it run another 10 minutes. Off
NO DANG DRIPS anywhere. Stable temps.
Around the block, then a short country loop with AC on - 194*-197*. Home and parked.
    NO DANG DRIPS.

    I think I have it!
