:pccoffee: Good Morning SA! Never did get around to checking in yesterday, looks like no one else did either! Son came over to tackle another underbody panel on Darth Previous. It didn't go so well for us. The replacement panels I tracked down, were not even close. Once we got an old one off, and the tape off, we found another part number to track it with, and what we need isn't a part anymore. It's a part of a part, but we can get it. Then, he discovered that when he took it to a dealer last spring to try to tie down a panel in the back that we eventually replaced - the dealer shop didn't even do anything in the back, had RIPPED off the front valance underpanel that we replaced last year, and told him he needed a whole new front bumper!. Just shreds of where it was left! Didn't go well for us. Correct parts ID'd again, available. Wrong parts OK'd for credit - they said keep them. And he's going to call the one helpful guy from that dealer to see about getting the part they took replaced or paid for!

    Morning Kevin

:pccoffee: Good Morning SA! Garage & outdoor today for sure!

Well, if you can believe it, I finally coaxed a replacement garage door opener out of the folks at Chamberlain. After several useless troubleshooting emails, I answered a couple of their survey requests that I hadn't, and was a little less than kind. Remember, the opener itself was fine, but it had no promised WiFi. So, they apologized, and the new one has arrived. It's going on the BENCH for connectivity testing before I pull off the swap. Todays the day, while it's nice and warm.

Rumaging around in the outdoor Christmas box the other day, I found I had a couple cut pieces of light strings "left over"...hmm, I wonder if it's long enough for...

(I had to cut and solder the strings to make the plugs go the right way for the hangers on the sockets). Then, I found some garland....

Now that's some retired guy putz right there! Oh, I fixed an alarm sensor mounting, cleaned the leaves out of the pool, and put up a thermometer

Absolutely the worst wifi configuration app in the world, but I GOT IT. And now have a box of spare parts to stash somewhere.

5 1/2 hours of bench time with the replacement. All the same old problems. How many different ways to phrase a google search. Finally, found someone (with a completely different system) that said they had to turn OFF their 5 GHz signal entirely, so, after poking around in Windows, Norton, and Spectrum, I found a way that my Tenda mesh will do just that for 1/2 hour. And....that did it. So, I did it with the original, and it went licketey split!

I searched their online support for that fact.....doesn't exist.

I have a warranty spare now, and don't feel in the least guilty about it.

and my ribs were fall off the bone again, dammit.
