Winter is arrived.
Cold and wet and just not very pleasant outside in general. 29F all day today.
Friday should be nice. Until then, stay warm and dry SA.

Yup. Nothing redeeming about ice storms. At all. Going to put a fire on in a while. Was going to rebook my cancelled appointments, but those folks are there either!

 

Afternoon folks, walked to the backyard and saw that my dog got the covered pipes and torn the insulation off so I was inspired by @Oldie2007 and made my own pipe cover… put on flex seal and stuck it in the garage so it can cure..

 

Works like a champ. Mine is packed with that spray foam too (I put plastic around the pipes first). But simple insulation in your box is virtually freeze proof!!

Had to go to town yesterday for another follow up, things are going well. If things hold today I will have my first PT appointment, not sure if I’m looking forward to it.

 

Morning folks, no work again today. A few months back my brother gave me some stuff from his old gladiator…. And well I got some free Baja designs pod lights.. lucky me lol

 

The minute I get the genny out and power run into the house, fucking electricity comes back on

Good Morning SA! This whole thing has been like waiting for the other shoe to drop. Haven't been below 30*, or above 33* since Monday. Mostly, we've gotten rain, and it's freezing above, but not so much on the surface. Last night was supposed to be the worst, and we did get 0.07" that must have been rain. What freezing rain we've gotten I can't seem to measure, but those storms have been light and far between. Everything is shut down, and that's fine. Restart the fire in a while, and take an outdoor tour. I have no trees to drop branches, except the Crepe Myrtle, and that's a pretty flexible tree. Did lose a flying fish pole, again. Things could be a whole lot worse.

OK, yeah, we got some ice last night. Walks and streets are "OK", but I'm not using them. Couple neighbors have now dragged some limbs to the street, and I hear some poor person down the street with a chainsaw in the drizzle.






We got power, we got a fire, and we got scratch chicken tortilla soup coming tonight! One more night of this crap, then it just rains on us.
