Staying busy, and relaxing too! Trimmed up a tree, seasoning the new smoker grates, and that'll probably do it for the day. SA CnC was good, bit igot there too early! Pics on FB.

 

What you been busy with!? Your mods are over my head most of the time

 

Good thing you’re working both in there. I have been wanting to make it out to the cnc. Maybe November I can make it out, it’s just a bit of a haul for me. What time did you show up? I typically like to get there early as well and leave early too. It’s kind of a mess getting out of there once it ends

Haven’t been doing too many mods lately. Finally got the leaks sorted out after my 4cyl AWD swap so I’ve been taking it easy myself on mechanical type stuff.

I did add a Pelfreybilt bumper to my v6 and removed the lowering kit recently so that is back to being usable again. Other than that been staying busy with the tax deadlines recently. Ready for that mess to be over with. Here’s a pic of the truck

 

I left the house at 5:00 AM, so I would get there by the new opening at 6:30. Two things I learned. 1. There is still a line out under 10, and down the frontage. 2. It's too dark for taking pictures - I sat in the truck for 1/2 hour! Two tours around the lot, and I still left by 8:30. I'm not going to be so early next time, even if I miss some cars that leave early. There's thousands there now, I won't miss them.

We're paying taxes in advance, quarterly now. Tax guy told Carol that we should have done that starting 2 years ago (but he didn't mention it then!). When the heck did they start collecting from poor people that way?

Your truck looks really nice! I now have a distinct two tone, but at the moment I don't think I'm going to pay him to do the rest. But I might. I never know!

I oopsed my tailgate Monday....




I banged out the cavern, but it's toast. New one on the way, and it settles the paint issue. The rest of the truck will be painted to match the hood and roof. The formula for the current paint is not the same as the old one, and I will never get the old "orange" fade matched. So, one color it will be for the first time in probably a decade!

Mowed the yard, watered the pots, and dug this out for the paint project. Had it stashed.

 

Ahhh yard work. Hopefully that was short and sweet, I got my dose of that last weekend.

Good deal, that’s a nice looking grille. It’ll look even better once it’s red

 

Appears to be a Homer Taco, with a Satoshi (sp) 3 mesh - guy didn't know, but it is put together like one. He just didn't like the peeling MGM paint. Long as my paint guy is going to be busy....
