They came by yesterday… finally and they found a bad crimp out across the street. I had told them that I have been chasing an issue with it for years and could not figure it out. I need to pay attention for when the heater/ac comes on as that is when the lights would dim to see if that fixed it.

Doing some software upgrade on one of our systems here at the plant, have to go to Factory Accepting Testing before install......should be fun .....no not really, but weather don't look too bad for this time of the year.

Damn, well at least it hopefully fixes the issues you were having, sucks it took them that long.

I have an older set of well used front weathertech floor mats and factory rear carpet mats for a 3rd gen crew cab if anyone is in need of some mats. I'm out in boerne but work by lackland. Free....

The rear are like new, the front ones have some smooth spots and looked to have had some paint spilled on them at some point, i cleaned them w/ the steam cleaner but yeah....free.

Doing good, man. No complaints. I just go to work, and come home and work on vehicle projects etc. It's been kinda hit and miss lately though. Deer season and cleaning deer and making sausage etc cuts into my project time. Ready to get back on track now that it's over.

It's a nice station. It's been well kept since it was built. I think it was built in 2010 or so. It's mostly quiet down that way. Lots of old guys who are riding out there last few years before retirement. I qualify lol.

It's been a great career. Hard to get into for sure. I didn't get into SA right away and worked for 2 other Depts before I got in. But, it also means I've been doing this work for longer than I likely would have otherwise. 34.5 years in total .. so I'm looking forward to being retired. I've got plenty of projects to keep me busy. If I could go now, I would, but I've got 2 years and about 8 months to hit the target retirement percentage I want to leave with.

Some of the projects I've bought in the last couple of years. 85 K20 with a 402 bb. Haven't even gotten to start on it. And I got 2 XJs .. one for camping and ine fir my youngest daughter. Hers is really immaculate. Then shortly after she got it, the water pump bearing gave way out on I10 without her knowing it. Qhen she got off the highway she noticed the steering but before she could do much it overheated. I bought a replacement head and put it on. Then this summer she had a minor fender bender in it and I set about fixing all that up, since it was older ins just wanted to total it. I told em I'd fix it myself. Now I have a 4.5" lift I'm gonna slap on soon, new arb guard .. and warn evo 10k winch. Haven't even had time to work on my 85, but someday I'll get to it. Pretty much everything I'm doing to her XJ I'm doing to mine .. so it's twice as much work and money lol.

Ive had Braun Rd automotive install lifts but that was year ago. I dunno if id go back. Times I drive by they looked closed up.
Other times ive had work done I went to the dealer which cost me arm and leg. Plus they tell you every single little thing wrong with it.
