    Anyone know where I can get a decent piece of 3/16s steel sheet around the area? Getting back into fabbing again and am going to build myself some skids. i know many companies make their skids in 1/4" but I think that's overkill and unnecessary weight.

    I know ashleys salvage on the south side, the last time I was there had a bunch of used sheet metal laying around for sale. If I remember correctly it was like .45/pound, some of it cut but I believe you could find enough to work with for the purpose. Would just check to see how pitted it is as this could affect how the paint comes out, if your worried about it.

    I could probably just use half a sheet.. still need to do a little measuring and figuring some numbers but I don't see myself needing that much.
