Just wanted to say what's up to the SA area. I just moved into a hotel here near Seaworld for the next month or two. If there is a meet or something coming up, I'd probably be game to attend.

 

We should plan a meet here soon.

Whenever dude I'm only free on Fridays and the weekend pretty much, I'm stacked up on work all week

 

I'm working 2nd shift on base, so most of the week I'm not off work until around midnight anyway. I'll hit you up on PM if I'm going to be around town this weekend.

 

So, I should be getting a new transmission next weekend

i have 3 or 4 synchros out, and 2nd gear is about to go

 

these godang toyotas are pieces of shit I tell you!

 

The problem is we lift them put bigger tires and don't do anything with the trans.

Plus if you rag the truck peelin out or block break it. That can burn a trans real quick.

 

block brake? When you shift down to slow down?

 

You mean engine braking?

 

Back in my youth we called it block breaking. When you push in the break as far as it will go then floor the gas. Getting the back tires to spin while you are staying still. Did it in my old truck twice and lost my trans.

Gentlemen:

1. Tranny has been a little iffy since the first month I owned it, and it was completely stock.

2. I have to try really hard to burn out in this truck.

3. I don't burn out because I purchased my own tires and I know how much tires cost.

4. I own the worst tranny/year combo ever made in a 2nd gen Tacoma, period.
