    If (and that's a BIG if) that cell phone is of any importance...it's now involved in a very big investigation...to put out info about it or what they find could EASILY compromise other things...or it could belong to a scared passerby who dropped it...or an officer

    I didn't specify anyone. Just in general. When things were unfolding in real time the thread was cleaned up because things were rolling hard with just straight facts and updates. Now that it is slowed down, it should remain so IMO.

    It's still an active crime AFAIK.
